Bradford City’s League One clash with Bristol Rovers was halted when match officials became aware of the drone.
Referee Andy Haines suspended play for about six minutes until the aircraft flew away.
The two teams gathered by the touchline in farcical scenes until the match resumed after the short delay.
The match at Bradford City's Valley Parade stadium ended in a 1-1 draw with both goals coming after the second-half drone delay.
