She left London on Thursday, putting paid to speculation that she is poised to be introduced to the Queen and Prince Charles this weekend.
It was suggested the 35-year-old actress would accompany the Prince to watch England’s rugby match against South Africa at Twickenham yesterday.
In fact she was already back in Toronto resuming work on the legal drama Suits and Harry sat next to Charlene, Princess of Monaco.

On Thursday lunchtime, Los Angeles-born Meghan was spotted walking on London’s Kensington High Street, near Harry’s Kensington Palace home, Nottingham Cottage.

While she was shopping, Harry, 32, was at a solemn ceremony at the Field of Remembrance outside Westminster Abbey.
Prince William was also attending a Remembrance event at nearby Kensington Memorial Park.
