Princess Kate’s brother James Middleton has shared his views on the school that Prince George could end up studying at.

James, 37 , has issued a brutal six-word verdict on the boarding school Marlborough, where he himself was educated along with his sister the Princess of Wales, 42, and their sister Pippa Middleton.

The future Queen’s brother said of the school: "It's all about the best grades”, according to GB News, which he found difficult to deal with as a student.

He said: "Perhaps my criticism was that it was too focused on what one would call success, or being the best, or the top. So it’s all about the best grades, the top of the class, the top teams."

James also said the school had eight different teams in all of the sports played at Marlborough, but only the top teams received recognition.

According to GB News, he said: "I was never in the first teams. My sisters were, and they did very well and it worked fantastically for them in how they operated.

"But for me, it wasn’t like that. I was dragging at the bottom.

"It was a shame, in a way, that some of the things that I found challenging in my life were not picked up then.

"Because I think that could have gone on to help me manage myself, my own expectations, a bit further down the line, so perhaps not allow me to go where I went to because I would have felt more accepted, not felt like perhaps a failure."

Despite feeling this way, the princess’ brother said the school was "fantastic" and he was lucky to be educated there.

This comes after it was reported that Princess Kate and Prince Williamtook their eldest son George, 11, to the school in 2023 to see if he liked it and would attend in the future.

The couple also took the young prince to visit Eton College, near Windsor Castle, where his father was educated.

At the moment, George attends Lambrook School with his siblings Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

It is not confirmed what school he will attend after finishing his time at Lambrook.
