King Charles has had one very busy year. While the monarch’s sister Princess Anne often wins the title of hardest-working royal annually, it seems 2025 is a different story.

Instead, the monarch - who let's remember is still undergoing cancer treatment - was the royal to carry out the most engagements this year, completing 532 engagements in 12 months. This is 50 more than Princess Anne.

While, of course, Anne is still very hard-working, the King’s new title as the hardest-working royal could change one thing for good. And that is his popularity.

Because the King has shown that despite undergoing treatment and not being in 100% health, he will not stop serving his country. He will get up, go out, visit charities, shake hands and be present.

He will do what most of us have to do when we are not feeling 100% - work.

And what is even more inspiring is the fact that the King, now 77, could easily sit back and rest (and rightly so if he wanted to).

But he wants to make the country a better place, and we’re told he enjoys the work he does too, which always helps.

Regardless of why he continues to work, his new title as being the hardest-working royal will only boost his popularity.

And that can only be a good thing, what with the damage to the reputation of the monarchy that has taken place this year at the hands of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s latest scandals.

The King has simply shown that when it matters, he will show up. And he will show up regardless of what is going on in his own personal life.

That is a monarch that is going to continue winning the support of the people.
