Princess Kate determined to return to normality as she plans handful of public engagements

Slowly but surely the Princess of Wales is easing herself back into royal life.

Undertaking her second official meeting in as many weeks is a hugely positive sign that she is getting back on her feet.

Being diagnosed with cancer is never easy but having to navigate it while in the public eye and raising three children is an almost impossible task.

But having completed her treatment, Kate is clearly determined to return to some normality.

Since June she has been working from home but we are now starting to see her take a more active role in royal duties.

Her Christmas carol service has fast become a key part of her work and it is reassuring to hear she will take a leading role again this year.

Over the coming months, she is expected to continue to work behind the scenes on the causes, issues and charities closest to her heart.

The public can expect to see her at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday but she is understood to be planning a handful of other public engagements before the year is out.

Kate’s medical team and aides will keep a close eye on her and advise how best to organise her diary.

But slow and steady appears to be the overriding advice to safeguard her health because – by Kate’s own admission – she is “not out of the woods yet”.
