Prince Harry "will return" to King Charles after years of tensions between the feuding royals, a source has claimed.

The 75-year-old monarch reportedly "has faith" that his youngest son, who stepped down from duties in 2020 and now resides in the US, will make a return - and is even considering a truce between them.

King Charles reportedly sought out "advice" from multiple religious leaders about his tense relationship with his "much-loved" son.

A source told the Daily Mail: "Charles misses his son. He still loves Harry and wants him back for personal reasons – regardless that he and Meghan do not [want to] return to royal life. Harry will always be Charles's much-loved son.

"He has faith that Harry could return. He misses the bond they once had, and the door will always remain open to him and his family. He does not want years of discord and disharmony clouding his reign."

Prince Harry 'playing long game' as he makes key decision about new Spare book

When Prince Harry released his first book, Spare last year, it broke the Guinness World Record for being the fastest-selling non-fiction book.

And in October, the paperback will be released in the UK and US. Usually when a popular book comes out in paperback after its hardback success, new details or passages are added.

However, Harry has refused to add any new bombshells or secrets of the royal family meaning paperback editions will be the same as its initial counterpart.

Royal expert and historian Dr Tessa Dunlop believes Prince Harry may be looking to move on.

Loose Women's Harry and Meghan royal family reunion debate leaves furious fans divided

Loose Women fans were left divided as the panel discussed whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could return to the royal family in the future.

During today's installment of the ITV programme, host Christine Lampard was joined by Coleen Nolan, Penny Lancaster and Brenda Edwards. The conversation soon turned to Harry and Meghan and whether the couple could bury their feud with the royal family.

Christine began: "Prince Harry's book Spare is due to come out in paperback soon - but publishers confirm there will be no additional updates."

The 45-year-old pondered: "Is he holding out an olive branch to his family? Would you like to see them welcomed back into the royal fold?" Turning to Penny, the presenter questioned: "What do you think - and should they just try to fix it all?"

Penny, 53, responded: "For me, I'm not judging one way or the other - you know, do I like Harry, do I think this or that?"

Lancaster mused. I'm looking at the broader picture really, just about the family. We all have family issues to bear from time to time.

She continued: "I think it's about possibly being able to mend some of those bridges, especially as there have been so many health scares within the family."

What’s more, it’s previously been reported that Prince William and Princess Kate run a pretty tight ship at home with their own strict set of rules for the children Prince George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six to abide by.

Now fans of the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, and Charlotte think they’ve spotted a quiet struggle between the mother and daughter over how best to wear the little girl’s hair.
