Princess Eugenie previously gave insight into what the Royal Family get up to during their annual summer break at the Balmoral Estate.

Balmoral Castle is privately owned, isn't part of the Crown Estate and was known to have been deeply loved by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are said to have already been joined by Princess Anne and Sir Timothy Laurence, and will be joined by other members of the family next week - including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children.

Speaking of the estate, and her late grandmother's fondness, 34-year-old Eugenie described it as the "most beautiful place on earth".

The mother of two previously explained on the 2016 ITV documentary, 'Our Queen at Ninety', how much it meant to her late grandmother - and what the royals get up to there.

As reported by Woman and Home, Eugenie said: "It's the most beautiful place on earth. I think Granny is the most happy there. I think she really, really loves the Highlands."

She added: "Walks, picnics, dogs – a lot of dogs, there's always dogs – and people coming in and out all the time.

"It's a lovely base for Granny and Grandpa, for us to come and see them up there; where you just have room to breathe and run."

Acccording to one of the official royal websites, the King and Queen enjoy everything from walking in the countryside to fishing during their visits.

As well the King's family, Queen Camilla's children and grandchildren could have received an invite to spend time at Balmoral this year.

The 77-year-old's son Tom Parker-Bowles has a daughter called Lola and a son named Freddy, while her daughter Laura Lopes is mum to Eliza and twins Gus and Louis.

The King was also keen for his niece Zara Tindall and her family to join them at Balmoral - although they may not be present due to one major reason.

A source told Express.co.uk that Zara, who is a professional equestrian, has submitted an application to compete at the Wellington International Horse Trials in Hampshire, which take place on the August Bank Holiday weekend from August 24 to 26.
