Although Princess Anne's daughter Zara Tindall no longer competes at an Olympic level - after winning a silver medal in 2012 - the royal equestrian is very much still competing.

The King's niece, 43, was in action at the NAF Five Star International Horse Trials after entering the Show Jumping, Cross Country and Dressage events riding her horse Classicals Euro Star.

The royal looked in good form as she tackled jumps at the competition, which is an event preparing riders for the Burghley Horse Trials taking place in early September.

The mother-of-three is a serious international equestrian competitor, having bagged a gold medal at the European Eventing Championships in 2005 in addition to a silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in 2006.

Zara opened up this week about her "hopes and dreams" in horse racing in a rare television interview.

Princess Anne's daughter, married to former England rugby star Mike Tindall, will appear in a new documentary giving insight into the final day of the Cheltenham Festival, one of the UK's most anticipated horse racing events.

Zara told ITV's Champions: Full Gallop: "There's a lot of hopes. There's a lot of dreams people want to grab.

"Everyone wants to have a win at Cheltenham, and Gold Cup is obviously the biggest."

Express.co.uk exclusively revealed earlier today that Mike and Zara Tindall have added to their growing business empire with several new projects.

According to a well placed source, Mike, 45, has set up a new property management company with hairdresser friend Samantha Higgins called 24 Henrietta Street Bath Management, and has recently launched a drinks business with close pal James Haskell called Blackeye Gin.

The source adds that although Zara, 43, is a member of the Royal Family she receives no public funds and the couple are very focused on making their own money to support their young family.

"Mike and Zara have been very good at making sure that all the money they get is through their own hard work," said the source. "Mike makes his TV and podcast appearances alongside setting up several small businesses to help take care of his family.

"Zara also has several projects that she works on both here and abroad plus she has all of her associations with the horse community. It's very commendable of them [the Tindalls] really because they could just kick back and take handouts."
