Meghan Markle has seemingly been 'snubbed' by some of her celebrity friends, including Serena Williams and Oprah Winfrey, as it has emerged they do not follow American Riviera Orchard on Instagram.

The Duchess of Sussex deleted her own personal Instagram account some years ago. However, she set up a new page on the social media platform to publicise her launch in March this year.

So far, the page has racked up an impressive 615,000 followers, but this number has increased by less than 20 in the past few months, suggesting public interest is dying down.

Tennis legend Serena Williams has been friendly with Meghan for years, even appearing on an episode of her podcast Archetypes, but she does not count American Riviera Orchard (ARO) among the 202 accounts she follows.

However, Meghan is followed by Kris Jenner and Tracy Robbins, two famous pals who each received a jar of her personalised strawberry jam in April.

Meghan has not posted anything on the American Riviera Orchard Instagram page since March 14, when she put up nine separate images forming the name and logo of the brand.

She also released a 16-second teaser video at the time, showing her in a kitchen, stirring a pot and arranging flowers, with a woman in a ballgown also appearing to stand at the end of a colonnade.

The name American Riviera is thought to be a reference to Montecito, the Californian town where she and Prince Harry live with their children, which is sometimes known by that nickname.

Since the soft launch of her jam four months ago, Meghan has not yet put out any more products, nor is there any update on when they will be available for the public to buy.

She is apparently aiming to stock hundreds of different items, according to a trademark application extension which was made public after the Duchess lodged papers with the US Patent and Trademark Office to trademark her logo.

The products that will be up for sale include skincare and toiletries, incense and candles, pet shampoo, bed and bath linen, picnic blankets and stationery.

Meghan is also the star of a new show on Netflix, which will "celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship" to be released alongside American Riviera Orchard.

At the start of last month, it was confirmed that filming on the show had wrapped, with a source telling the Daily Beast: "It all went well and it is in the can."

Meghan has curated the series, which will see Leah Hariton as showrunner, and Michael Steed as director, and by Sony Pictures Television’s Intellectual Property producing with the Duchess, Hariton, Archewell’s Chanel Pysnik, and IPC’s Aaron Saidman and Eli Holzman serving as executive producers.
