A potential memoir by Meghan Markle now hangs in doubt as it is deemed the British public "won't believe" what she writes.

Prince Harry released Spare in January 2023, with speculation that Meghan may release her own memoir soon followed.

Ulrike Grunewald, who is working on 'Harry - the lost Prince' which is due to air on the ZDF network in Germany in December, has suggested that people in the UK likely won't believe a word of what Meghan writes.

Whilst speculating that Meghan could turn her diaries into an explosive new book, Ms Grunewald told Express.co.uk: "We know that Meghan kept a diary during her days in Great Britain but if she writes a book about it will people believe what she is telling?"

It was previously reported that Meghan had kept diaries during her turbulent two years as a senior working royal.

Around the time that Finding Freedom was released in 2020, Meghan's private diaries were described as a "ticking time bomb".

It appears that even prior to the release of Harry's Spare, speculation had already began that Meghan could use her diaries to write a bombshell memoir.

As reported by the Mirror, an insider spoke on Meghan's diaries - adding that they would "contain material to embarrass the Royal Family".

One insider said: "The fact they may exist and could contain material to embarrass the Royal Family is enough to make anyone feel uncomfortable, even though right now there is no reason to believe she has plans to publish. Meghan has always been a tremendous self-publicist. Her account of some of the more difficult times would worry everyone in the royal household."

The publication also reported that royal expert Ingrid Seward believed that Finding Freedom could have just been testing the water.

Ms Seward said: “My feeling is it won’t be nearly as revelatory as we think. There might be a few titbits in it – but what would be the point in the Sussexes giving away too much in this book when Meghan could write her own story?

"Michelle Obama got £48million for her book deal, and Meghan could double or triple that. I think she’ll hang out to write her own – making the royal household far more nervous."
