Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "would never recover" from losing lucrative Netflix deal, a royal expert has claimed.

The couple signed the five-year £100 million pound deal with Netflix in 2020, shortly after stepping down as senior working royals.

Although four years into their deal, the pair have left many fans disappointed with the lack of projects released.

Now, Harry and Meghan gear up for the potential end of the deal, which the pair are reportedly "on the brink of losing".

Despite the fact it could be set to be renewed, royal author and expert Tom Quinn claims Meghan and Harry won't take too well to it if it were to come an end.

Speaking to the Mirror, Mr Quinn said: "The loss of the Netflix contract would be a major blow and one from which it would be all but impossible to recover.

"The last thing Meghan wants is the humiliation of trying to set up a deal with a much smaller company - the way things are going even that might not be a possibility."

Despite the ongoing speculation that the deal could end next year, Meghan and Harry are reportedly in the process of creating new content for the popular streaming service.

Meghan, who was an actress on US legal drama Suits before marrying in the Royal Family, is teaming up with Netflix for a new cookery and lifestyle show based on her new brand, American Riviera Orchard - which launched earlier this year.

On the other hand, Harry is producing a new documentary about one of his passions, the world of international polo.
