The Duke of Westminster was married today in a lavish ceremony at Chester Cathedral, but his close friend, Prince Harry, was nowhere to be seen.

Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, married Olivia Henson today in view of 400 attendees, including Prince William.

However despite being close friends with the groom, Prince Harry was not spotted at the wedding.

The pair travelled across Africa together and have been papped at birthday parties for one another throughout the years.

Grosvenor is also Prince Archie's godfather, which is why the lack of presence at his wedding has shocked royal watchers.

A source told The Daily Express before the wedding: "When they were growing up Harry and Hugh were much closer. Hugh was a young boy when William was in his late teens and early twenties. That’s why this has all come as such a shock."

The Duke of Sussex lives in the US with his wife and two children, and was most recently in the UK in early May for an Invictus Games service.

According to The Sunday Times, Harry and Meghan Markle were both invited to the wedding, but declined as they didn't want to overshadow it.

The ongoing animosity between Harry and William may have played a part in his decision not to attend, with a source telling the Times Grosvenor "wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up".

But should Harry have gone anyway? Do you think he should have attended the Duke of Westminster's wedding?
