King Charles's tender six-word question to Meghan Markle on wedding day laid bare
King Charles stepped in to walk Meghan Markle down the aisle after her father was unable to attend the wedding - and he had a sweet message for his soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
King Charles asked a tender six-word question to Meghan Markle just moments before she married Prince Harry. Charles stepped in to walk his soon-to-be daughter-in-law down the aisle as Meghan's father was unable to attend due to health issues.
Upon meeting Meghan at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, Charles said: "You look lovely, are you OK?" As Meghan entered the chapel surrounded by sunlight, guests gasped in awe. The American bride commenced her walk alone, with one page boy caught yawning by TV cameras.
Charles then met Meghan halfway down the chapel, escorting her to Prince Harry. The smitten groom commented "you look amazing, I missed you" upon setting eyes on Meghan for the first time on their magical wedding day.
Harry's jaw dropped as he watched his stunning American bride walk down the aisle in her exquisite British-designed dress. He then thanked Charles for walking with Meghan, saying "thank you pa".
