Prince Harry discusses future plans to visit royal family
Prince Harry could still repair his relationship with the Royal Family, but three key factors would need to be in place, according to an expert.
Harry and his older brother Prince William in particular have seen their close friendship disintegrate as Harry and Meghan Markle have moved away to California and set up a new life.
King Charles is said to be more open to reconciling with his youngest son, but family psychotherapist Helen Villiers has explained the steps that the family will need to go through to get there.
She told Express.co.uk: "In terms of patching up the relationship, in order to patch that relationship at what has to be done is exposure - exposure of all those narrative, all the wounds or the trauma or the difficult experiences and discussion without conflict that arises into anger.
"A lot of people think that conflict means shouting and anger and argument and winning over other people. In fact, conflict is about growth."

Ms Villiers suggested that the family would need to engage in therapy to help the members understand how they hurt each other and talk through all their difficulties and traumas together.
She also outlined the three things that every person would need to do, saying: "With boundaries, with discussion, with support healing in these relationships can happen, but what it does also involve is people being able to take responsibility, not getting defensive and accept where they might have made mistakes on all sides."
Harry and his father spent time together briefly last month when the Duke jetted over to London for one day after learning that the King had been diagnosed with cancer.

Their 30-minute reunion may have been brief but there is still reason to hope they could make up, as a source told Express.co.uk: "I’d have thought that was cause for optimism."
Yet it may be harder for Harry and William to work things out, as the heir to the throne seems less keen to reach out to his brother due to ongoing pressures.
A royal source said: "Harry may well want to step back into a royal role but as far as his brother is concerned nothing has changed.
"Prince William has enough on his plate at the moment. His father is being treated for cancer and his wife is recovering from abdominal surgery. He simply doesn't have the bandwidth for this."
Following his brief visit to the UK Harry was asked by interviewer Will Reeve for Good Morning America how he felt being reunited with the King.
