Prince William and Princess Kate much prefer their Norfolk home due to key privacy issue
Despite having abdominal surgery last month, Princess Kate spent time with Prince William and their three children in Norfolk last week.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are said to much prefer their Norfolk home due to a key privacy issue.
The couple travelled to their home in Norfolk last week, spending quality time with their three children - Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five - during the February half-term.
The family-of-five are known to enjoy spending time in Norfolk each year, staying at their residence at Anmer Hall.
It is said to be well-known that the property is the family's favourite home - even though their main home in Windsor is "lovely".
Speaking to OK! magazine, royal expert Jennie Bond said: "Windsor is lovely, and they have a beautiful house, of course.
"But it's also on the Heathrow flight path and that can be very intrusive."
Although Anmer Hall is now their holiday home, it was their permanent base between 2015 and 2017.
Ms Bond added: "William and Kate find all they want as a family in the wide open spaces that Norfolk offers."
The Princess of Wales is still recovering after undergoing planned abdominal surgery in London last month.
Aside from spending some quiet quality time in Norfork, Kate's recovery is mainly taking place at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
Speaking of Kate's recovery, Ms Bond added: "It's very encouraging that Kate is well enough to make the trip to Sandringham.
"It shows that she is making a steady recovery. Also the change will probably be most welcome to her... the same four walls must get a bit tedious when you're recuperating as she is."
Prince William and Princess Kate first moved to Windsor in 2022, shortly before the late Queen's death.

The family moved into Adelaide Cottage, a home which boasts four bedrooms.
