King Charles is 'getting on and doing his best' following his prostate surgery, says Queen
Queen Camilla has given an update on King Charles's health whilst on a royal visit today.
King Charles is "getting on" and "doing his best" following his prostate surgery last week, Queen Camilla said today.
The Queen made the comments after officially opening Maggie's Royal Free, a new cancer support centre at the Royal Free Hospital in London.
On arrival, the Queen was introduced to donors including Sir Gerald Ronson, who asked about the King’s health following his treatment for an enlarged prostate. "He’s getting on, doing his best," she replied.
When Dori Dana-Haeri, who led the fundraising effort for the new centre, said she was "so pleased" that King Charles, 75, was well, the Queen nodded and said: "Thank goodness."
Another supporter of the Maggie’s charity, Sir Michael Pakenham said: "All best wishes to His Majesty for the very best recovery."
