King Charles keeping one 'royal' out of spotlight after Royal Lodge dispute

As the Royal Lodge dispute rumbles on with King Charles continuing to battle to evict his brother one royal may be being shunned from the spotlight as a result.

Despite Sarah Ferguson making a surprise appearance at the royals’ Christmas Day walkabout at Sandringham and attending the Easter service it is believed her appearances are becoming less and less frequent.

The 64-year-old also later attended King Constantine of Greece's memorial service at St George's Chapel in February 2024, sparking speculation of her royal return.

However, it is thought that the King is purposely keeping her out of the spotlight due to her close relationship with Prince Andrew.

Since officially divorcing Andrew in 1996 the divorced couple, who share Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, have maintained an amicable relationship.

Noticeably Fergie was not asked to help when the Princess of Wales and King Charles were away with their respective health issues, something Princess Anne and Duchess Sophie stepped up to do.

Craig Brown, the author of A Voyage Around the Queen, explained to Sky News Australia that "she's not the King's kind of person."

Also blasting Sarah, he claimed that she is using the late Queen's corgis to "increase her own celebrity". Sarah and Prince Andrew have been the co-owners of Muick and Sandy since the late Queen's death in 2022.

Andrew, who lives at the 30-room Royal Lodge with his former wife Sarah Ferguson, is said to be refusing to part with the mansion and wants to remain at the place he has called home since the early 2000s.

Charles wants him to relocate to a smaller property and will cease funding his security detail next month in an effort to persuade his brother. Despite this, the disgraced royal remains resolute in his determination to stay put.
