Jeremy Vine guest blasts Prince Andrew over Epstein files: 'Lock him up!'
Prince Andrew has vehemently denied any accusations of wrongdoing - but one guest urged King Charles to keep the Duke out of the spotlight.
A Jeremy Vine guest has blasted Prince Andrew in a furious tirade following allegations that Jeffrey Epstein recorded a sex tape of the Royal Family member.
Appearing on the programme this afternoon, longtime panellist and Daily Mirror associate editor Kevin Maguire slammed the prince for his "terrible errors of judgement".
He said the royal should never have stayed or been "friendly" with the late convicted paedophile sex trafficker and warned that details of his association would continue to hit headlines.
Court documents released earlier this week alleged that Epstein had taken sex tapes of the prince and other famous figures, including Bill Clinton and Sir Richard Branson.
Sarah Ransome, a woman who claims she was one of Epstein's victims, wrote an email to a reporter in 2016 alleging the men were filmed having sex with her unnamed friend on separate occasions.
The prince has emphatically denied any wrongdoing, but Mr Maguire warned that he would continue to be embroiled in the controversy due to his association with the billionaire.
The journalist added that any decision by King Charles III to have him appear at a public event would be a "huge error", and called on the monarch to keep him "locked up".
Speaking on the Jeremy Vine show today, he said: "Any attempt to rehabilitate [his image], having him at any public event, I think would be a huge error by the King.
"He will destroy the Royal Family from the inside if he embraces Andrew and has any form of rehabilitation."

The journalist had previously said the right way for the King to deal with the royal was to "lock him up".
When asked by Mr Vine how he should be dealt with, he quipped: "You lock him in a tower and throw away the key."
The Prince's controversial association with Epstein has hit headlines in recent days following an order from a US judge that documents relating to civil cases involving the paedophile should be unsealed.
In December 2023, New York district judge Loretta Preska ruled the papers should be unsealed as many individuals detailed have already given media interviews.
The mass unsealing included 250 documents, 170 names, and new allegations about the named individuals' dealings with Epstein.
Other celebrities, including late scientist Stephen Hawking, Bruce Willis and Leonardo DiCaprio, were also mentioned, but none have been accused of wrongdoing.
