Prince William’s very cheeky texts to Princess Kate revealed in hilarious blunder
The Prince and Princess of Wales are known for the humour which helped bring them together, but William once revealed a saucier side to the couple's joking.
Prince William opened up about a cheeky emoji he has sent to Princess Kate in a rare insight into the couple's private lives. The next in line to the throne surprised royal fans when he laid bare about messages he sends to his wife while on a visit to Birmingham.
The Waleses were hosting a forum in the city to mark World Mental Health Day when they took part in the BBC Radio 1 show, Going Home.
William and Kate were asked which emojis they use most often, with the prince's being cheekier than his wife's.
He told hosts Jordan North and Vick Hope: "Is this a clean thing or is this a family one? I've been told not to say the aubergine so I've got to pick something else."
The prince said his answer would have been the aubergine, but because he has "got to be all grown up" it was the one where the eyes go up and down and the tongue sticks out. He added: "What's that one? The slightly crazy one."

Princess Kate told the hosts her most frequently used emoji is the heart, followed by the crying face. She explained: "The hysterical laughing when things have gone wrong."
William and Kate are both known to enjoy the funnier side of life, with the prince bursting into a fit of laughter when the couple recently attended the Royal Variety Performance.
The Prince of Wales wiped away tears as he listened to a routine from comedian Tom Allen. Kate appeared to relish the sight of her husband laughing.
William has already revealed it was Kate's "naughty sense of humour" which won him over when they first met as students at St. Andrew's University.

He told ITV's Tom Bradby: "We just spent more time with each other, had a good giggle, had lots of fun and realised we shared the same interests and just had a really good time.
"She's got a really naughty sense of humour, which kind of helps me because I've got a really dry sense of humour, so it was good fun, we had a really good laugh and then things happened."
William's cheeky side also came out during a visit to Cardiff where he asked who was pinching his bottom as he lined up for a group photo.
His joke sparked laughter and made certain there were smiles all round for the photo, taken to mark the 75th anniversary of the HMT Empire Windrush's arrival in Britain.
