Princess Kate dubbed 'saviour of the monarchy' as she's perfected Queen-in-Waiting role
The Princess of Wales has been praised by royal commentators, as she perfects her role as Queen-in-Waiting.
The Princess of Wales has been dubbed as the "saviour of the monarchy" by many commentators, with the 41-year-old being praised for "coming a long way" in her time as a working royal. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has said that the Princess of Wales "seems to grow more and more regal" and that she looked "absolutely the part of a Queen-in-Waiting at the [Coronation] ceremony."
Bond told OK! magazine: "She can instantly connect because of the way she dresses and the way she acts, even just by wearing jeans or her trousers to engagements - she just makes it chic and relatable."
Jaine Sykes, who is a brand and media expert, told the publication that having Kate - who she described as a "frontwoman" - is a dream come true when it comes to the Wales brand.
She added: "The fact that Kate is able to talk eloquently about a number of issues, and make it feel authentic, really helps when you're dealing with social media, particularly.
"It's one thing to have an established brand like the monarchy, but to have someone like Kate is even better because we know that people prefer that human touch.
"After all, that's the reason brands have ambassadors - people want the human element.
"The Royal Family are lucky here in the fact they have a wonderfully natural and hugely popular spokesperson."
Bond also added that both Kate and William are bringing a "more modern, relatable side" to the monarchy.
She added that the couple are "moving with the times" - in relation to the pair who are often out and about taking selfies with royal fans - as this was "one of the biggest threats to the monarchy that young people don't connect with the royals".

She said: "Even with the selfies they take - a few years ago that was an absolute no-no but both Kate and William are absolutely ok with that now."
A spokesperson for William and Kate told OK! that the couple wish to be "engaging more [with] those younger audiences in that work that we do."
The couple sat front and centre at the King's Coronation earlier this month, as they arrived along with their two younger children - eight-year-old Princess Charlotte and five-year-old Prince Louis.
The couple's eldest child, nine-year-old Prince George, took on the important role as one of the King's four Pages of Honour.
Although it stood as a historic event for all, the ceremony held significance for the couple as they will be attending their own Coronation one day.
The 2023 event marked a first since the death of the late Queen - who was known for being a fan of the show.
