Prince Harry only attending King's Coronation over 'sense of duty' and 'last obligation'
Prince Harry will attend the Coronation on his own while Meghan Markle remains home in the US with their children Archie and Lilibet.
Royal family unveils Coronation Quiche
The Coronation is the "last obligation" Prince Harry has to the Royal Family, a therapist has claimed. After months of speculation, Buckingham Palace confirmed Harry would join the Royal Family at the Coronation. But therapist Sally Baker said the Duke is only attending due to a "sense of duty". The occasion will be the first time Harry has seen his father King Charles and brother Prince William since the release of his tell-all memoir.
Speaking to Express.co.uk Ms Baker said Harry's attendance is a "matter of personal honour" and a "last obligation" to his family.
She continued: "Harry is fulfilling his final obligation to The Firm. The landscape of family interactions will be very different from now on especially without The Queen attempting to ameliorate or forgive Harry’s behaviour in recent times.
"For Harry, it probably feels like he is parachuting into hostile territory and he’ll leave by stealth before we even realise he’s gone."
Speaking on the possibility of a reconciliation between Harry, Charles and William Ms Baker said Harry is likely to be "close down emotionally" during his return.
The last time the trio were seen together was during the Queen's funeral.
Ms Baker, who often comments on the Royal Family, said: "I don’t believe there will be any chance of reconciliation during Harry’s brief visit for his father’s Coronation.
"I think he’ll be very closed down emotionally and will take the best care of his emotional well-being while attending the ceremony.
"He will be seen doing what is required and he’ll leave for home and his real people at the earliest opportunity."

Announcing Harry's attendance a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May.
"The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."
Meghan is said to be staying in the US for several reasons, with the main one being to celebrate Archie's fourth birthday, which falls on the same day as the Coronation.

Relations between Prince Harry and his brother have appeared strained since Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals.
Harry recently claimed his brother pushed him into a dog bowl whilst describing a physical altercation between the siblings in his memoir.
But it is understood there will be no time for the pair to meet during Harry's brief visit.
Editor of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward, told the Sun she believes that Harry and William have "really tight schedules" and that addressing their relationship is "for another time".
