Royal Family: So happy! Fans rejoice after show mocking Prince George and Queen axed
ROYAL fans have shared their delight after a TV show mocking Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the rest of the Firm, including Prince George, has been axed.
Prince Charles to opt for 'slimmed down' coronation says Myers
HBO TV bosses made the decision to pull the plug on the controversial cartoon titled The Prince, which had previously been slammed for giving a satirical look into the life of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s eldest son George. Daily Mail diary editor and staunch critic of the Sussexes, Richard Eden took a swipe at Harry when reacting to the news on Twitter.
The journalist tweeted: “Something for Prince Harry to discuss with his Montecito neighbour Orlando Bloom. #royal”
Mr Eden makes reference to the actor as the Pirates of the Caribbean star voiced the Duke of Sussex in the show.
Many royal fans rejoiced at the news with some criticising the show, despite the fact it had never been aired in the UK.
A fan account for William and Kate called ‘The Cambridges’ wrote: “So happy that awful cartoon was cancelled! It should never have aired anyway”
Another added: “Good. It was a bad show”.
While a third wrote: “I should think so too. It was insulting”.

'Absolutely idiotic!' Michael Portillo got in big trouble with Duke of Edinburgh
While serving as Defence Secretary, Michael Portillo felt the wrath of Prince Philip after he was part of a decision which led to Royal Yacht Britannia being commissioned after 22 years.
Prince Philip subsequently branded him "absolutely idiotic".
The Daily Mail's royal correspondent Robert Hardman wrote in 2011: "
Then-Defence Secretary, Michael Portillo, produced a new policy and got it past a weary Cabinet: if re-elected, the Tories would build a new Royal Yacht.
"He failed to clear the plan with the Labour Opposition.
"So, day after day on the election trail, old-style Labour politicians like John Prescott gleefully extolled the scrapping of what was presented as a millionaire’s toy.
"The fact that Britannia had originally been commissioned by a Labour Prime Minister, Clement Attlee, was never mentioned.
"As the Duke of Edinburgh observed some years later: ‘Portillo got involved and made a complete b******s of it. Absolutely idiotic.’”
Prince Andrew potential move to Scotland to keep a low profile
Prince Andrew may consider moving to Scotland to keep away from public scrutiny, according to a royal insider.
This news comes after it was revealed the Queen will help pay for the settlement he reached with Virginia Giuffre.
It is thought the Royal Family wanted the matter dealt with before the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations this summer.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward told GB News: "He is damned whatever he does, I feel, he can't shake it off.
“He hasn’t been able to prove he is innocent and he hasn’t been proven guilty, and that is how it will remain.
“For the moment he can’t do anything, he certainly can’t reinvent himself straight away.
"He could go and live in Scotland for a year, but I don’t think he can reinvent himself yet."
'Couldn't give two hoots!' Camilla never wanted Queen Consort title
The Duchess of Cornwall reportedly was never fussed about whether she was made queen or not, according to Daily Beast royal correspondent Tom Sykes.
In a speech to mark her Platinum Jubilee, the Queen said it was her "sincere wish" that Camilla take the title of Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes king.
But Sykes told Us Weekly that it was Charles who really wanted her to have the title.
He said: "Charles has always wanted Camilla to be Queen.
"She, I'm reliably informed, couldn't give two hoots whether or not she's Queen or not.
"But Charles sort of saw it as an insult against the officde of the crown."
Camilla has said she is "very honoured and very touched" to have been given the Queen's blessing.
Virginia Giuffre could publish book about Prince Andrew scandal
Royal biographer Andrea Levin has revealed that Virginia Giuffre could be free to publish a book on her experiences with Prince Andrew as part of the settlement.
On Tuesday it was announced that a settlement had been reached out of court in the sexual assault civil case filed by Ms Giuffre against the Duke of York.
Ms Giuffre's lawyers told The Sun that she had not signed an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) when she agreed to the settlement.
Ms Levin said to Sky News: "Virginia can write a book. She can do any number of publicity meetings she wants to do but she can't say anything until after the Jubilee.
"Obviously that was something that they could have put in the agreement and they haven't.
"It implies there's a lot she wants to say that Andrew will not want to hear.
"And he can't then attack her.
"He attacked her through his lawyer but I don't think he'll be able to attack her when she's allowed to say everything she wants to later on this year."
Emily Thornberry bashes Prince Andrew for 'damaging' Queen's honour
Labour MP Emily Thornberry spoke to Robert Peston on Wednesday night about Prince Andrew's sexual assault civil case, which it was revealed on Tuesday was settled out of court.
She said: "I think he has done a lot of damage to the monarchy, without a doubt.
"I pity the Queen.
"She is a very very elderly lady and having to deal with this and the death of her husband this year, must be so traumatic.
"I am more concerned about the direct family impact it will have".
On Tuesday it was announced that Prince Andrew had settled the case filed against him by Virginia Giuffre for an undisclosed sum.
She had accused him of sexually assaulting her on three occasions when she was 17.
He has always denied the allegations.
Some people in the royal household believe that Prince Andrew is innocent
Prince Andrew is facing calls to renounce his Duke of York title following the civil case filed against him by Virginia Giuffre, which was settled out of court this week.
She accused the prince of sexually assaulting her when she was 17.
However there are reportedly a number of people in the royal household who believe Prince Andrew, who has always denied the claims against him.
He has received a lot of support from his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who said that she stands by the prince "100 percent".
An insider said: "There are a number of people in the royal household who are utterly convinced that he is innocent.
"But the clamour for Andrew's scalp meant that a quick and brutal decision needed to be made."
'Best for monarchy' if William king NOT Charles - bombshell claim
Prince Charles should give up the throne for his son William as "it would be in the best long-term interests of the monarchy", according to a royal commentator.
The Daily Mail’s diarist and royal commentator Richard Eden made the bombshell claim on his Twitter account amid news that the Metropolitan Police are probing cash-for-honours allegations at Prince Charles’ charity.
On Wednesday the force said they had begun an investigation into allegations contained in media reports that honours were offered to a Saudi national in return for donations to one of Prince Charles's charities.
In November, Michael Fawcett, right-hand man to Prince Charles for decades, stepped down from his role running the royal's charity The Prince's Foundation.
However Prince Charles “had no knowledge of the alleged offer of honours or British citizenship on the basis of donation to his charities”, according to a spokesperson for the heir to the throne.
Richard said in a tweet: “I wonder if her prediction will end up being correct?”, to which a royal watcher said: “Poor form, Richard — are you suggesting Prince Charles’ life will be cut short ?? Or wishing upon it…”
Mr Eden replied: “No, of course not. I am suggesting that Prince Charles could abdicate in favour of William. As a royalist, I think this would be in the best long-term interests of the monarchy.”
Royal fans spot tribute to Prince Philip at Queen's latest engagement
The Queen seemed to pay tribute to her late husband Prince Philip during her first in-person engagement since Prince Andrew reached a "settlement in principle" in his ongoing civil suit.
On Wednesday, the monarch met the incoming Defence Services Secretary Major General Eldon Millar and his predecessor Rear Admiral James Macleod.
An image of the meeting was shared on the Royal Family’s Twitter page and showed the Queen meeting both the incoming and outgoing Defence Services Secretary.
In the snap, Her Majesty, 95, stands in front of a desk full of ornaments, a framed picture and a plant.
One royal fan spotted that there appeared to be a family portrait that was sitting on the table in the background behind the monarch.
The royal fan said it appeared to be a photo of her and Philip, with their great-grandchildren.

'Smartest move in decades' Andrew praised for settling civil sex abuse case
Prince Andrew's lawyers announced he and his accuser Virginia Giuffre had "reached a settlement in principle" in the ongoing civil case, and the decision has been labelled the "smartest move he has made in decades" by a royal commentator and reputation expert.
Reputation expert and royal commentator Eric Schiffer claims the decision to settle ahead of a trial in court is a “smart move” for the royal and claims it is the “smartest” thing the royal has done in the last decade.
He claims if the case had gone to trial, the fallout would have “engulfed the monarchy”.

Prince Andrew risks wrath ahead of slimmed down Firm - claim
Robert Jobson claimed senior royals put pressure on the Duke of York to bring an end to the US civil case brought by Virginia Giuffre.
He said: "It couldn't have dragged on in a Jubilee year with dribs and drabs coming out in the tabloids, resulting in a very damaging court case.
"His reputation is pretty damaged anyway. I think dragging the Royal Family deeper and deeper into the mire would have been unacceptable to the likes of the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge.
"They would have made it very clear that a settlement would be the best option."
'Thinner and thinner' fans share fears for Queen as Firm in crisis
Royal fans are sharing their fears for the Queen as the Firm continues to be rocked by crisis.
The Queen held an in-person meeting with the official liaison between the sovereign and the armed forces on Wednesday.
The meeting comes only a day after the Duke of York settled his sexual assault lawsuit, paying up an estimated £12million to his accuser.
But fans of the Royals have expressed their concern at how the 95-year-old monarch might be handling successive crises rocking the family.
Taking to Twitter to express her concern, @RouraLourdes said: "The Royal Family should be very concerned instead of some members going on vacation etc. The Queen is losing weight and in every new picture she looks thinner and thinner!"
Duke of York title could be permanently AXED after major precedent set by Duke of Windsor
Prince Andrew's title ‘Duke of York' could be permanently scrapped and not appointed to anyone else in the future, much like the precedent set by the Duke of Windsor, according to a royal commentator.
On Tuesday, court documents declared Prince Andrew had reached a "settlement in principle" with his accuser in their ongoing civil case.
The allegations against him have seriously marred his reputation, and he is now facing mounting pressure to stop using his Duke of York title.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzilliams claims it is unlikely that Andrew will be formally stripped of the title, but that he may be asked to stop using it.
He also claims that the Duke of York peerage may not be used by other royals in the future, much like the title Duke of Windsor, due to its associations.

Queen health fears as monarch struggles to greet guests 'I can't move'
On Wednesday, clutching a walking stick, she met the incoming Defence Services Secretary Major General Eldon Millar and his predecessor Rear Admiral James Macleod.
As she attempted to shuffle across the room, she said: "Oh, I am here," chuckling as the two secretaries entered her room.
When asked how she was, the queen responded: "Well, as you can see, I can't move." She gestured at her feet before shuffling forward slightly and greeting the pair with a handshake.

Princess Eugenie’s support for Prince Harry despite rift laid bare
Eugenie and her cousin Harry share a close bond, with Princess supporting him despite the rift with the rest of the Royal Family, sparking hope she may be able to help heal the divide.
Eugenie has become the first member of the Royal Family to make a public visit to Harry in California two years after he quit as a senior member of The Firm.
On Sunday, they were seen attending the Super Bowl together without each other's partners. They sat in premium seats at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
It comes as concern mounts in the UK over Harry's soon-to-be-published tell-all biography.
Royal observers said that Eugenie's presence shows Harry "is not completely out in the cold", despite the feud with his family.

'Lost cause' Meghan and Harry 'no longer care' what Brits think – claim
Meghan Markle will never return to the UK because she believes winning over the British public is a "lost cause" and "no longer cares" what they think, according to a royal biographer.
The Duchess of Sussex has not visited Britain since she and Prince Harry dramatically left the Royal Family and moved to California, in 2020.
Royal biographer Tom Bower said: "At the moment, Meghan’s ultimate destination is unclear, but she certainly has the backing to make a bid to star as an American politician.
"In parallel, Britain is a lost cause for the Sussexes. In truth, I suspect Meghan no longer cares whether she is welcome in London. She has no intention of returning."
Queen holds in person audience day after Andrew case settled
The Queen has held an in-person audience, meeting the official liaison between the sovereign and the armed forces.
The in-person meeting comes a day after the Duke of York settled his sexual assault lawsuit.
The Queen, who already had the official engagement set in her diary, met the incoming Defence Services Secretary Major General Eldon Millar, and his predecessor Rear Admiral James Macleod at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
It is the head of state's first in-person appearance since her Covid scare six days ago, suggesting she may have escaped the virus despite coming into contact with the Prince of Wales, who tested positive two days later.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has refused to back Labour's York Central MP in calling for Prince Andrew to be stripped of his Dukedom.

Prince Andrew tipped to ‘bounce back’ after £12m settlement despite bid to ‘smear royals’
Richard Hillgrove was speaking the day after details of the deal were confirmed by both parties on Tuesday - leaving unanswered questions about precisely how it will be financed.
He said: "Prince Andrew will bounce back as the #MeToo era is seriously waning.
"The entire Virginia Guiffre thing stinks of being a very well-financed campaign engineered to smear the British Royal Brand in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee year by refrying refried beans with Virginia Guiffre."
"The Queen will now help finance the £12million settlement to avert an embarrassing court trial.
"Next off the blocks to try and cause as much brand damage as possible will be Prince Harry's coordinated American-style bombshell tell-all book.
"But the unrelenting attacks on the British Royals are not making even a chink on their armour."

Scotland Yard dealt a fresh headache for Prince Charles as it announced on Wednesday it "launched an investigation into allegations of offences under the Honours (Prevention of Abuses) Act 1925" in relations to the heir to the throne' charity, the Prince's Foundation.
The inquiry is being led by the Met's Special Enquiry Team, the same unit in charge of the investigation into "partygate", the political scandal regarding parties and gatherings of Government and Conservative Party staff allegedly taking place while Covid restrictions were in place.
'True cost' of Andrew’s ‘significant’ payout put at £12M - Queen ‘partly footed’ bill
In the settlement, the Duke of York agreed to pay a “significant” but undisclosed sum and accepted that the 38-year-old had suffered as a victim of abuse.
He made no admission of liability and has always vehemently denied the allegations that they had sex after she had been trafficed by dead paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Commenting on the momentous end to the civil case - which was filed through a New York court - Ms Tominey said the “true cost” to Andrew’s reputation “remains incalculable”.

Princess Eugenie could swipe the role of "peacemaker" from Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and help heal the rift between Prince Harry and the Windsors, according to a royal commentator.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told OK! magazine: "Hopefully, Eugenie can be the peacemaker.
"I’m absolutely certain Eugenie and Harry are still as close.
"I think we all thought Kate would be the peacemaker, certainly at the funeral of Philip when she was engineering a chat between Harry and William.
"But I think if there is a peacemaker, it will be Eugenie."
88 percent of people in York want Prince Andrew's title stripped, claims MP
Labour MP for York Central, Rachael Maskell has claimed that 88 percent of people in York "have said that they want the Dukedom to be removed."
She told Sky News: "Clearly, the situation has moved on but we have not concluded matters yet.
"Andrew carries a geographical location title, the Duke of York, and people in my city - 88 percent of them - have said that they want that Duekdom to be removed.
"And investigating this, this isn't a simple matter where the queen could remove certain titles from her son, she couldn't remove the title of Duke.
"That has to be through a parliamentary process.
"Whether parliament bestows more powers on her majesty to take that decision, or whether parliament itself comes to a conclusion."
Ms Maskell was quoting figures from a survey by York's daily newspaper The Press, which found that 88 per cent of its readers want to see the prince's Duke of York honours taken away from him.
York's Labour MP demands Prince Andrew loses Dukedom
Furious demands for the Duke of York to be stripped of his title are growing, with 88 percent of people in York supporting the movement, an MP has said.
Labour MP for York Central, Rachael Maskell called for "York" to be "a people's movement to fight for the rights of women & girls", rather than "a Duke's title".
Writing on Twitter, she said: "A young woman trafficked & exploited. She bravely spoke out.
"People of privilege, position and power tried to suppress and silence.
"This must be a turning point, where York is not a Duke's title but a people's movement to fight for the rights of women and girls."

Prince Charles' car runs on cheese and wine
For Prince Charles' 21st birthday, the Queen bought him an Aston Martin which Charles has kept ever since.
The beloved car has been well maintained for decades and it now partly runs on wine and cheese in order to cut emissions, the Queen’s son has revealed.
During an interview with BCC’s climate editor, Justin Rowlatt, Charles said there are many practical, everyday measures which he employs to do his bit for the planet, including the secret food for his car.
He said: “My old Aston Martin, that runs now on waste products.
“It runs on – can you believe this – surplus English white wine and whey from the cheeses process.”
Royal Family fashion hack female royals use to avoid embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions
The women of the Royal family use weights to keep the fabrics from flying away and potentially causing an embarrassing mishap, a couturier revealed.
Weights are reportedly sewn into all the Queen’s handmade outfits.
At only an inch across and weighing less than an ounce, they are easy to conceal yet very effective.
Royal couturier Stewart Parvin told the MailOnline: “The beauty of a handmade outfit is that it hangs just right but, of course, we have a few tricks up our sleeve.
“I just pop a couple of weights into the hemline of her dresses and coats and it makes them hang beautifully.
“If there is a flap in the coat then I will sew in one on each side of the split to even it up.
“And sometimes if she is wearing a lightweight chiffon skirt I will sew in a smaller lead weight the size of a pea or even a length of chain.”
Queen returns to work following Covid scare

However, the palace refused to confirm whether the Queen had tested positive for the virus, citing privacy.
The monarch will have taken daily lateral flow tests over the last seven days in keeping with current guidelines.

'Queen gave him a boll**king!' Prince Andrew faced wrath amid Jubilee woe, expert claims
Upon reading the court statements, Ms Levin said: "I think it sounds remarkably humble, which is not something that we expect from Prince Andrew.
"Why that is, I'm not sure but I wonder if the Queen now she's well gave him a boll***ing.
"And said you're not going to spoil my Platinum Jubilee, I'm the only person who's ever reached this and you've just got to sort it out.
"I don't want salacious things happening when I'm trying to enjoy myself during the Jubilee she's the only one I think should really give him a telling off, she's very matronly with him.
"Perhaps he decided that but it is a great relief, I think, because it would have rambled on and that would have taken the headlines all the time.
"And goodness knows what could have come up at the other end."
GB News guest in staggering claim on court settlement
Prince Andrew, 61, has agreed to make a "substantial donation" to Virginia Giuffre's charity after the pair agreed an undisclosed out-of-court settlement in her civil sex claim against him.
Julie Bindel has made a staggering claim that the Duke is trying to stop more information from being released to the public.
Speaking to GB News, Ms Bindel said: "There are various reasons why you might not want a libel trial.
"The expense is horrendous. I don't think that barrier would be in the way for anyone as wealthy as Prince Andrew but there are other issues which you would want to avoid which is evidence coming out.
"Of course I'm not suggesting because we do not know whether or not the allegations against Prince Andrew are founded or unfounded.
"But what we do know is there was a friendship with Epstein and there were various other times that the men would have been together that other will know about."
