Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie were spotted for the first time watching in person the Super Bowl. The royal cousins embraced the very American annual tradition as the Los Angeles Rams took on the Cincinnati Bengals in SoFi Stadium, in California.
Pictures circulating on Twitter of the pair wearing face masks and casual outfits sparked a frenzy among fans of the Duke of Sussex, who celebrated him for "living his Cali life".
One Twitter user, @AprilABrown1 wrote: "Harry living his best life. Thriving not just surviving."
This social media user quoted Prince Harry's wife Meghan Markle who, speaking to Tom Bradby in October 2019 as the Sussexes' tour of South Africa was coming to an end, opened up on the difficulties she encountered after becoming a senior royal.
Appearing in ITV's documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, the Duchess said: "I've said for a long time to H - that's how I call him - it's not enough to just survive something, that's not the point of life.
"You've got to thrive, you've got to feel happy."
Other fans of the Sussexes hailed Prince Harry, with @MalaikaHelena writing: "So happy for Prince Harry. I love this freedom era for him"
Another, @Mamaof254532285, said: "So love this. My beautiful home State is also Meghan's. So happy to see Harry enjoy living here. Congrats RAMS"
And yet another Twitter user, @TheUndeadNette, added: "That’s what CA sunshine does for you!!"

Others focused their attention on the royals leading by example as they donned face coverings, required within the stadium.
One @DawnieMitch1, wrote: "I'm glad Harry and Eugenie were able to attend. Also very glad to see them masked up when so many were not."
And another, @debnana2000, said: "Can I just say THANK YOU HARRY for wearing your mask!!!!
"Sooooooo many people there aren't so that means LA is going to go up in numbers again.
"Good to see him out and about and being responsible for doing it!!"
All people attending the Super Bowl at SoFi were required to keep face masks on at all time aside from when actively drinking or eating.
The star-studded American football match marked the first time Eugenie was spotted in the US alongside her cousin.
It isn't known if this is the first time she visits Meghan and Harry in California since the Sussexes relocated there in late March 2020.
The royal cousin's spouses, Meghan and Jack Brooksbank, and their children did not appear to be at the stadium with them.
Harry and Eugenie are known to be close, having developed a strong bond since they were children.
The cousins often went on family skiing holidays together and, during their 20s, attended the same London party set.
According to the unofficial biography of the Sussexes, Finding Freedom, Princess Eugenie has been the first member of the Royal Family Harry introduced Meghan to in the early days of their relationship.
The authors of the biography also claimed Eugenie and Jack had gone on double dates with the Sussexes before their relationship became public in 2016.
Eugenie showed to have remained close to the Sussexes in August last year, when she embraced the initiative launched by Meghan to mark her 40th birthday.
The Princess announced on her Instagram account she was participating in Archewell’s 40X40, an initiative seeing people donate 40 minutes of their time to mentor a woman trying to re-enter the job market after becoming unemployed during the pandemic.
