Prince Louis birthday: Hilarious new photos taken by Kate released to celebrate big day
KATE, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William have shared two new, hilarious pictures, of Prince Louis to thank royal fans for their heartwarming birthday wishes.
Prince Louis photographed to mark his second birthday
Prince Louis turns two today, and his birthday has been publicly marked by his doting parents Kate and Prince William with pictures taken by the Duchess of Cambridge. Four snaps, taken at Anmer Hall earlier this month, were shared yesterday evening, ahead of the little Cambridge's big day.
But this morning, Kensington Palace delighted royal fans with two more cheeky pictures of the now two-year-old.
The caption makes fun of a popular internet joke, and explains the first never before seen snap, showing Prince Louis with his hands drenched in colourful paint open wide in front of the camera, represents one of the traditional, artistry pictures usually published on Instagram.
The second one, showing little Louis rubbing the paint on his cheeks, represents the reality behind the scenes.

The caption added: "Thank you for your lovely messages on Prince Louis’s second birthday.
"We are very pleased to share today, on Prince Louis second birthday, new photographs taken by The Duchess this April."
The two new pictures shared by Kate and William today appear to have taken alongside the ones published yesterday on their Twitter and Instagram platform.

Prince Louis wears the same blue and white chequered shirt and his hands are stained with the colours of the rainbow as he was crafting an artwork dedicated to the NHS.
One of the photographs published yesterday by Kate and William shows a painting made by Louis with one of his little hands.
Since the coronavirus pandemic began, the rainbow has become a symbol of hope across the country and artworks with it are often put on houses' windows alongside messages of support to the NHS.
Little Prince Louis won't be able to celebrate his birthday with his extended family, as Kate and William are on lockdown at Anmer Hall, in Norfolk, far from both the Middletons and other royals.
However, Kate and William are expected to receive several video chats from the Queen, Prince Charles and other relatives, during which the little Cambridge will be properly celebrated.
The Prince of Wales has already publicly acknowledged Prince Louis's birthday by sharing a lovely picture and message on Clarence House's social media accounts.
In the black-and-white snap, Prince Charles can be seen hugging and holding tight his grandson.
The caption read: "A very Happy Birthday to Prince Louis, who turns two today.
"The young Prince enjoys a hug from his Grandfather, The Prince of Wales."
Prince Louis was born two years ago at St Mary's Hospital in London.
The little Cambridge was last seen on camera on March26, the first time the country came together to honour NHS workers by clapping for them at 8pm.
Prince Louis was filmed standing between his brother George and sister Charlotte while clapping in the gardens at Anmer Hall.
Before that, Prince Louis was last seen in public while arriving at Buckingham Palace in December for the Queen's traditional Christmas lunch with her extended family.
The little Cambridge, sitting in the back seat of his mother's car, wore for the occasion a knitted cardigan with a white shirt underneath.
