Princess Beatrice wedding: The unique way Bea could pay tribute to Sarah Ferguson
PRINCESS BEATRICE could pay tribute to her mother Sarah Ferguson in a unique way on her wedding day, an expert said.
Princess Beatrice to receive two titles after wedding say experts
Little is known about Princess Beatrice’s wedding, and among the details still to be disclosed there is what she will wear on her big day. But there are hints and details that experts believe can pinpoint towards what Beatrice’s outfit will look like on her nuptials.
Among one of the details of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding experts are speculating in regards to which tiara the young York will wear.
Grant Mobley, renowned jewellery expert and gemologist, believes there are three strong contenders when it comes to the tiara Princess Beatrice will likely wear on her nuptials.
And the strongest choice would see Princess Beatrice paying a unique tribute to her mother Sarah, also known as Fergie.
Mr Mobley told Express.co.uk: “The top contender for Princess Beatrice’s wedding day tiara is the York Tiara that her mother, Sarah Ferguson, wore on her own wedding day.”
This tiara would not only be a tribute to Fergie but to the tight-knit York family.
Mr Mobley continued: “The piece, which features floral scrollwork with a five-carat diamond at the top, was gifted to the Duchess of York by the Queen.
“It’s an exquisite piece, and given the close family connection, this tiara is undoubtedly the frontrunner.”

If Beatrice decided not to walk down the aisle wearing the same tiara her mother donned on her wedding day, she could make a touching tribute to the Queen Mother and choose among some of the most exquisite tiaras she has worn during her life.
The expert continued: “Another option for Princess Beatrice is the beautiful Lotus Flower Tiara, which was inspired by the art deco time period.
“Although this tiara was originally made for the Queen Mother in 1923 by the House of Garrard, it is actually quite modern in its design as it can be worn low on the forehead or high on the head similar to tiaras made today.
“To make this amazing piece, the Queen Mother had Garrard dismantle a necklace she was given as a wedding gift and use the diamonds and pearls to craft a masterpiece.
“The versatility of natural diamonds is one of their most amazing qualities, and because of their durability and resilience, they can be reused in different jewellery designs, and passed down through generations.
“The finished piece was made with all-round white diamonds in bezel settings and a few white pearls.
“The beautiful diamonds make lotus flower shapes as the main feature.
“The third option would have to be the Strathmore Rose Tiara.
“One of the most elegant and beautiful tiaras in existence, the design is a garland of five roses in yellow gold with the roses set with spectacular large white rose cut natural diamonds.
“Although it was made in the nineteenth century, this tiara was given to the Queen Mother by her parents (where it gets the Strathmore name), for her wedding with King George VI and then later passed down to Queen Elizabeth II.”
This tiara would be not only an elegant choice and a meaningful tribute to the Queen and her beloved mother.
As explained by Mr Mobley, this tiara hasn’t been worn in public for decades, which would add an element of surprise and uniqueness to Princess Beatrice’s outfit.
He added: “Rose cut diamonds are very unique to the time period in which this tiara was made - this cut has not been done since the early 20th century.
“Because they are timeless and enduring, natural diamonds transcend generations and this tiara is a great example of that.”
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo will tie the knot on May 29 at the Chapel Royal on the grounds of St James’s Palace - the same chapel where Prince Albert and Queen Victoria married.
While Beatrice and Edoardo are remaining strictly tight-lipped on their wedding guest list, Buckingham Palace revealed in February the couple, their friends and families will celebrate their love in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
