Kate opens up on Prince George and Princess Charlotte's new hobbies - 'Really into it'
KATE, Duchess of Cambridge, revealed her growing children are developing new hobbies - while confessing she wished they had come along with her to Ireland.
Kate Middleton and Prince William visit Tribeton in Galway City
Doting mother Kate couldn't help but mentioning her children during her three-day tour to Ireland alongside Prince William. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Tribeton, a popular venue in Galway where they saw a cultural showcase of acts taking part in this year’s Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture events.
While meeting talented youngsters performing in front of their eyes, Kate revealed her two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, would have enjoyed the show.
She said: “I wish we could have brought George and Charlotte along, they would have loved it!”
After listening to local band NOOV performing, Kate also opened up on Prince George's new hobby.
She said: "George is starting to learn the guitar”.
Similarly, after meeting performers from the Galway Community Circus, the Duchess said: “Charlotte is really into gymnastics, she’s doing cartwheels, handstands, everything.”
The Duchess didn't mention Prince Louis, likely because he is still too young to be able to pick up any hobby.
Kate and Prince William could not take their children with them as George and Charlotte are attending Thomas's Battersea School.

While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were stunned by the ability and talent of performers in Galway, Prince William decided to take the centre stage and show off his ability to, literally, juggle.
Leaving Kate in stitches, the heir to the throne confidently did a juggling trick with three balls.
He later attempted to do the same trick with four balls, but failed.
Today is the last of the Cambridges' three-day tour to Ireland.
During their visit, the first undertaken in a European country after Brexit by members of the Royal Family, Kate and William marked the importance of a good relationship between Ireland and the UK.
On Tuesday, just hours after landing in Dublin, Kate and William visited the Garden of Remembrance, dedicated to all those who gave their lives in the cause of Irish Freedom, from the Irish Rebellion of 1798 to the Irish War of Independence of 1919 to 1921.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid their respect and laid a wreath with the following message: "May we never forget the lessons of history as we continue to build a brighter future together."
Prince William also delivered a powerful speech during a reception hosted by Simon Coveney, during which he called for "stronger bonds" between the UK and Ireland.
The future King openly spoke about Brexit, and said: "Of course, the changing relationship between the UK and the EU will require us to work together, to ensure that the relationship between Ireland and the UK remains just as strong.
"I am confident that friendship, understanding and a shared vision for a peaceful and prosperous future will ensure that the unique and precious bond between our people is not broken.
"My family is determined to continue playing our part in protecting, preserving and strengthening that bond."
Prior to the beginning of the tour, Kensington Palace highlighted the importance of this tour.
In a statement, the palace said: "The visit, which will see Their Royal Highnesses spend time in Dublin, County Meath, County Kildare and Galway, will highlight the many strong links between the UK and Ireland.
"From its thriving cities to rural communities, the programme will take in Ireland’s rich culture, its impactful community initiatives and spectacular scenery.
"Following Her Majesty The Queen’s historic visit in 2011, the visit will also focus on the relationship between the two countries, and build on the theme of remembrance and reconciliation."
