MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry shared two pictures from Archie’s christening - but some royal fans have accused Prince William of looking “sour” and “not amused” in the snaps.
Archie christening: Expert says decision could 'harm' Harry
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s two-month-old son was christened at Windsor Castle on Saturday. Meghan and Harry released two pictures from the event amid major criticism over their decision to keep the baptism private. But some royal fans were distracted by William’s facial expression in one of the photos.
A Twitter user said: “William doesn't look happy at all!! And Kate has a forced smile on her face.”
Another wrote: “Did you see how the body language was in the pic? Huge space in between the two couples and William looks so sour in the face!”
A third said: “Kate doesn't have a real smile on her face. She looks pained. William looks like he smelled something terrible. They don't look thrilled to be there.”
One added: “Oh man, the look on Prince William’s face….”
Another commented: “Wills does not look amused.”
One more asked: “What’s wrong with William’s face?”
It comes as Meghan and Harry have faced ongoing rumours of a rift with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Archie, who is seventh in line to the throne, was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby in the castle’s private chapel in front of a small group of friends and family on Saturday.
Meghan and Harry were determined to keep the affair under wraps and shared just two snaps from the day.
A photo from the secret event shows the proud parents and Archie alongside Prince Charles, Camilla, William, Kate, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and Princess Diana’s sisters Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale.
In the second snap, Meghan and Harry are posing with their tot in an intimate black-and-white shot.
Despite some royal fans questioning William’s face in the pictures, others reacted with delight to the first proper glimpse of Archie.
Meghan and Harry have been accused of acting like "Hollywood A-listers” over the christening by public relations consultant Mark Borkowski, while royal expert Ingrid Seward said the situation had been “mismanaged”.
