Meghan Markle nanny: Does Meghan Markle have a nanny? Is her mum Doria helping her?
MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry gushed about new parenthood at their official photoshoot two days after their son was born, but how are the pair finding it now and do they have a nanny to help with the exhausting middle of the night feedings?
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton 'not best friends' says expert
Meghan Markle gave birth to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6, making the infant four weeks old on Monday. Prince Harry went back to work just four days after his son was born, by comparison the Duchess of Sussex has indulged in motherhood and hidden away from the public eye during her maternity leave which is expected to last for a few months. But does the new mum have a nanny and is her mum Doria Ragland still around to help her out with baby Archie?
The couple have kept relatively about the knitty gritty details of parenthood.
Royal fans have speculated a number of things about Baby Sussex including whether the couple have hired help, when baby Archie will be christened and who his godparents will be.
Given the busy schedules of the working royals, many expect help to be hired for all royal babies.
For instance, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have help in the form of a real life Mary Poppins called Maria Borrallo.
The Cambridge nanny is in her forties and comes from Spain.
She was hired in 2014 when Prince George was eight months old and was trained at the prestigious Noreland College in Bath.
But Meghan Markle has a reputation for breaking royal protocol, so has the new mother broken with tradition and decided not to employ a nanny to help?
Royal fans have hit out at the claims made by an Australian gossip magazine which alleged Meghan was not letting royal staff near baby Archie.
The source said: “Meghan likes to be in control of everything.
“She just can’t have anyone be alone with Archie. She’s ignoring help.
“No one has looked after him but her.”
The source told New Idea that even the hired nannies aren’t able to step in and help the new mum.
He added: ”She won’t allow them near Archie.”
The magazine claimed that the nanny quit after just two weeks working with the Sussexes.
It is not known whether Meghan and Harry have hired a nanny, or several as the Australian article suggests, with it originally thought the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not want a nanny.
But the source claimed one nanny had left after not being allowed near the child.
The source added: “Meghan will only let Doria hold him for a minute, she literally runs in and out of the shower to snap him back up.”
Many originally thought the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not hire a nanny and instead rely on Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland to help out.
But while the new grandma was there in the early weeks, it appears she returned back to her home in Los Angeles, California after spending two weeks with her daughter, son-in-law, and new grandson at Frogmore Cottage.
Meghan and Harry have kept baby Archie private, choosing to release information themselves in carefully managed media calls and uploads via their social media account.
In fact, the couple only revealed the Duchess of Sussex was in labour after he had been born.
Furthermore, instead of following in the footsteps of Prince William and Kate who stood on the steps of the Lindo Wing with each of their newborns hours after delivery, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex only revealed Archie to the world two days after he was born.
