Nigel Farage pinpoints Rishi Sunak's biggest Brexit betrayal in thundering speech

Nigel Farage says UK should leave European Court of Human Rights
Nigel Farage hit out at Rishi Sunak after he stopped short of threatening to walk away from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) in the Tory manifesto.
The Reform UK leader said voters did not back Brexit so that the European Court of Human Rights, which presides over the treaty, could "tell us how to manage our border policies".
Speaking during a rally in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk this evening, Mr Farage said: "Today's Conservative manifesto and guess what, Rishi is going to stop the boats.
"And if the European Court of Human Rights were to consider once again stopping the planes taking off for Rwanda he might consider, might consider, leaving the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
"I've got a better solution let's leave the European Court of Human Rights now."
To cheers from the audience, Mr Farage continued: "After all, we did not vote Brexit for a court in Strasbourg to tell us how to manage our border policies."
He then asked: "Who believes that the planes are off to Rwanda in a couple of weeks? Come on, hands up."
As people could be heard saying no, Mr Farage added: "What a cynical audience."
Turning to the issue of record levels of legal migration, he went on: "Also they're going to reduce the level of immigration into Britain.
"Short history lesson, the Conservative manifesto in 2010 said, after Blair had opened the doors in the most unprecedented way, they would reduce net migration to tens of thousands."
Mr Farage pointed out that the same promises were made in the 2015, 2017 and 2019 tory manifestos.
He went: "If they failed us on the last four manifesto pledges, why on earth would anyone believe them on the fifth? I don't and I don't believe the British public will either."
It comes as Mr Sunak today unveiled his General Election manifesto at the Silverstone motor racing circuit.
The document repeated promises to get Rwanda flights off the ground but stopped short of threatening to walk away from the convention and the Strasbourg court which rules on it despite calls from some on the right of the his party.
Some Conservatives have blamed the arrangement for frustrating efforts to send migrants to Rwanda, which is a key part of the PM's pledge to stop small boats crossing the English Channel.
