Your air fryer will look ‘brand new in 20 minutes’ with ‘safe and easy’ cleaning method
Air fryers can become susceptible to burnt-on food and grime, but there's a simple cleaning method that can leave your appliance looking "brand new" in under half an hour.
Air fryers have risen in popularity in recent years, but many Britons are not cleaning their appliance often enough. Home appliance and electronics manufacturer Hisense UK revealed that people should be cleaning their air fryers after every single use.
Some people may put off cleaning their air fryer because they are not sure the best way to do it, or are concerned it will take too long.

In the video, she described the method as a “safe and easy way to clean your air fryer”.
She explained: “Just put in a squirt of washing up liquid, a quarter cup of baking soda, and you’re going to fill that up with boiling water up to the top. You are going to leave it for 20 minutes then pour it all out.
“You’re going to rinse it with warm water, dry it with a paper towel and there you go, it’s like brand new.”
Cleaning experts from Good Housekeeping have also recommended using baking soda to “deep clean” your air fryer, especially if you have burnt on food or grease.
Due to baking soda's naturally abrasive texture and alkaline properties, it’s a gentle but effective way to clean any sticky build-ups that might be difficult to scrub away.
Experts from The Cleaning Collective also note that it can help to neutralise any smells in your appliance.
They explained: “If your air fryer has developed lingering odours, sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda on the bottom and let it sit for a few hours before wiping it away. This will help neutralise any unwanted smells.”
