From the outside it looks like a dream home. The £900,000 house has three storeys, is surrounded by trees and green space and the brochure details the 10 bedrooms and nine bathrooms inside.

Purplebricks, the estate agents behind the sale, rave about the home's extensive development potential. Described as a veritable canvas for investors, developers and families alike, the property comes with two lounges, nine washrooms, and the listing promises "a 10-bedroom detached property on a huge plot that has so much potential for investors, developers, first time buyers, young professionals and families looking for a great project".

But it's what else you'll find inside that has buyers disturbed as they browe Rightmove looking for their next home. In fact, users on Reddit have likened it to "the setting of a horror film".

One photo shows a room where a large window appears to have been filled up with breeze blocks, while a gravestone-style cross is painted on a wall.

Reddit user @ShouldBeReadingBooks stirred the conversation with a linked post and an ominous observation: "OK, the graffiti is genuinely disturbing."

@Huditut responded: "First two photos, house looks lovely, big open windows and large living room. Third photo... things escalated quickly,"

@No_Locksmith4492 said "This house is the setting of a horror film" while @Sweet-Waltz-97 added: "Kind of worrying that the windows have been replaced by breeze blocks."

Other users commented on the price tag close to £1 million, with user @Anarchyantz writing: "I am sorry but how much for a place in Manchester, with bricked up windows, s**t everywhere, vandalised and they want nearly a million in MANCHESTER?"

The building currently bears approval for a remarkable conversion into apartments. The agent explains: "The property currently has planning permission for three one-bed apartments and four two-bed apartments. This property is spread over four floors including a workable basement. The property has a lift to all floors."

The home popped up on Reddit's Spotted on Rightmove forum, an online space boasting 252,000 members, reports the Manchester Evening News.
