Solar garden lights that look like 'real burning flames' are easy to install

If you're looking for the perfect addition to your garden this summer, these solar-powered outdoor torch lights could be just the thing.

Customers have praised these striking lights that "look like real flames flickering in the garden". The Geemoo 6 Pack Solar Flickering Dancing Flame Lights are designed almost like medieval torches, giving your garden a warm glow and a Game of Thrones-type of feel.

At the moment, the best value on Amazon is the six-pack of lights - currently reduced from £27.99 to £18.02, meaning that's £3 per light. Compare that to, say, the four-pack - at a total of £22.39, that's a whole lot more at £5.60 per light. Plus, with a slightly different design they have a less realistic look to them.

With warmer weather on the horizon, many of us will be spending more time outside - and when the sun goes down, you don't want to end all the fun. Instead, these lights give a warm glow when there's no natural light left.

Plus, they're solar powered - meaning there's no extra electricity cost to run them. They're also waterproof, because you really can't trust the British weather at all, and you don't want to be constantly lugging them inside and out.

With a 4.5 out of 5 rating on Amazon, customers have been singing their praises. "These are lovely lights," one buyer wrote.

"Look like real flames flickering in the garden. Very effective at night. Value for money. Well made."

Another agreed: "These are really beautiful at night. So bright and like real burning flames. Got them on a deal but would pay more for them best solar lights I've seen, love them."

While a third said they "can't believe how beautiful these look in the garden. I was really sceptical but they flicker beautifully."

Another buyer commenting with a few notes said: "While the flame effect is convincing, it’s important to note that these lamps don’t emit actual heat. This might be a disappointment for those seeking both ambiance and warmth," they wrote.

"Additionally, the build quality could be improved. Some parts of the lamps feel a bit delicate, and I worry about their long-term durability, especially in harsh weather conditions."

While another wasn't convinced by the quality, writing: "Two out of six lights have packed up after 14 months."

With a dark and almost witchy design, these kinds of lights are perfect for Halloween - but if you were after something more classic, Homebase sells a Party Flame Effect Solar Garden Torch for £11.25 (down from £15), which comes in a four-pack and is also solar powered.

Meanwhile, if you were looking for a shorter design, Argos sells the Garden by Sainsbury's Solar Dancing Flame Torch - 4 Pack for a bit higher a price, clocking in at £28.

The Geemoo lights on Amazon promise light for up to 10 hours in summer after being fully charged, whereas the torches available on Argos are said to last for six hours when fully charged.
