Sir Cliff Richard puts on VERY animated display as he joins Gemma Arterton at Wimbledon
SIR CLIFF RICHARD struggled to keep his emotions in check in Centre Court earlier this afternoon for the third day of Wimbledon 2016.
The legendary entertainer, who missed last year's competition amid sexual assault allegations, looked absorbed in the action as he perched behind none other than Gemma Arterton, 30.
Unlike his fellow famous guest, the 75-year-old made his feelings quite clear as he watched Novak Djokovic take on Adrian Mannarino.
At one point, Sir Cliff was seen looking overjoyed at what had gone on and clapped enthusiastically before chatting to pals Judy Halewood and Gill Brook.
The singer looked very smart in a dark grey suit and a matching shirt, which he teamed with a striped tie.
Meanwhile, Gemma cut a very chic figure in a cream double breasted jacket, co-ordinated flared culottes and a breton jumper.
Wearing her tresses down in a soft wave, the actress added a black clutch bag, two-tone heels and delicate gold jewellery.
The previous evening, the former Bond Girl had attended the National Film and Television School's annual gala at Old Billingsgate Market.
Cliff Richard on his personal life: "it's nobody's business but mine"
Gemma oozed elegance in a baby pink ensemble in Palazzo-style pants and a frilly shirt, which featured a subtle print on it.
Meanwhile, Sir Cliff made his return to Wimbledon on Monday, just days after the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed they were dropping the case against him.
He has since threatened legal action against the BBC for "gross intrusion" during his chat with Gloria Hunniford, 76.
