Amy Dowden left her emotional fans saying the same thing as she celebrated a huge milestone.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 33, took to Instagram on Tuesday (July 2) to pay tribute to her husband, Benjamin Jones, on their second wedding anniversary.

Alongside three snaps of the couple on their big day, Amy began: "Happy 2nd anniversary! I think it’s fair to say we’ve been through quite a bit during married life. But I’m forever grateful for you!"

Amy, who was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May 2023, continued: "Thank you for this past year! I know at times it’s been so tough for you to watch but you kept positive, kept the house clean away from infections and tried to keep me as positive as possible."

The professional dancer gushed: "I love you even more! Let’s hope for a smoother year ahead! But what I do know is we have each other! More adventures, my crazy last min plans, house renovations, dance school fun and basically just us being us! Love you always xxx your Amy xxx."

Amy's followers raced to the comments to congratulate the couple on hitting the milestone, with several touching upon the difficult year they have been through together.

One wrote: "People forget about the incredible person behind the scenes when the worst thing imaginable hits. Happy anniversary, onwards and upwards to you incredible couple xx."

"You’ll get through everything together xx congratulations on your special day xx," added a second. Another penned: "Most couples would not have survived this test. You have smashed it. Onward and upward you two."

A fourth agreed: "You really learn the love you have during your toughest times and years. So glad you had each other. It's tough on both. Wishing you both healthy, happy and fun-filled years ahead. Ye deserve it."

Amy underwent a mastectomy after learning of her cancer diagnosis. After the surgery, doctors informer her that the tumours had spread and another type of cancer was discovered in July. She began chemotherapy the following month.

Because of her diagnosis, the Welsh star was forced to miss the 2023 series of Strictly Come Dancing. However, she will return to the dance floor later this year after revealing there is "no evidence of disease" following her cancer treatment.

Amy issued an emotional update after her return was announced, admitting she can't wait to get back to performing in the BBC competition.
