The price of Katie Price's once cherished residence, affectionately known as the Mucky Mansion, has been significantly dropped in a desperate attempt to find a buyer.

Initially pegged at £1.5 million, it looked like the glamour model's Sussex property was off the market. Yet following a collapsed sale, a staggering £150k has been knocked off the initial asking price as they continue the hunt for a new proprietor.

This comes despite earlier buzz that indicated a frenzied bidding war for the fancy pad.

The celebrity had enjoyed her time in the sprawling nine-bedroom house until financial troubles led to her eviction for non-payment of the mortgage. Not just a home, the luxurious residence, sprawled over 12 lavish acres, even had a starring role in a reality show featuring Katie herself after she acquired it from Conservative politician Francis Maude in 2014.

However, any potential transaction is set to contribute towards clearing spiralling debts tied to the house itself, with reports suggesting Katie owes the tax authorities around £750,000. Recently hitting headlines for bankruptcy for the second time, her financial woes continue to loom large, reports the Mirror.

The relisted property showcases the dramatic reduction in price. Earlier descriptions of the mansion boasted: "A substantial detached family home including three reception rooms, nine bedrooms and four bath/shower rooms spread over three floors plus a one-bedroom annexe."

After Katie vacated the premises, the property was found in a deplorable state, with the once-manicured grounds now tangled with weeds and the swimming pool tainted an eerie green.

Specialists had to be called in to cart away heaps of litter and tow deserted cars prior to listing it for sale, dealing with an overwhelming 20 tonnes of detritus to render the place marketable.

The July revamp transformed the once dilapidated estate into an unrecognisable haven, a stark contrast to its infamous past when it was labelled as Mucky Mansion for its perpetual neglect.

Katie Price herself expressed her abhorrence towards the residence, stating: "I absolutely hate the Mucky Mansion, even how it's been called the Mucky Mansion because of all the stuff that happened there before."

Her daughter, Princess Andre, also vocalised her aversion on the documentary series 'Katie Price's Mucky Mansion', reflecting, at the age of 14: "I didn't really like this house at the start. It was a dark house. There were just so many bad memories in it. I didn't even want to walk on the driveway."

The series chronicled Katie's journey to transform her 19-room property from a vandal-ridden wreck to a family sanctuary. Despite covering Katie's endeavors across two seasons, the production ceased amidst her escalating financial woes.
