John Bishop praised by fans for surprising price for 25th anniversary tour tickets

The tour will travel to cities across the UK and Ireland, including a date at the venue in Manchester where Bishop performed his first gig in 2000

Comedy legend John Bishop is celebrating a whopping quarter of a century making the nation chuckle with an announcement of a tour dedicated to his landmark 25th year in stand-up. Fans are keen to grab seats, with tickets priced at an accessible £25plus booking fees echoing the years of laughter he's provided.

The birthday bash on wheels will see Bishop reminisce on his humble beginnings, taking the party to several spots across the UK and Ireland, even revisiting the Manchester venue that heard his inaugural jokes back in 2000.

At 57, Bishop cheerily recounted: "I can't believe that next year it will be 25 years since I first performed at the Frog And Bucket in Manchester. It's been a rollercoaster! And I can't thank the fans enough who have supported me all the way."

Determined to make the event special for those who've laughed along, he declared, "I wanted to mark the anniversary with a brand-new tour and do something to say thank you so every ticket throughout the tour will be £25."

He warmly invited everyone, saying, "I really hope you can come and celebrate with me."

The milestone spectacle, dubbed 'John Bishop: 25,' kicks off with a show slated for October 2, 2025, at Plymouth Pavilions. The itinerary boasts stops at London's The O2, Co-Op Live in Manchesterwhere nostalgia mixes with mirthand the Utilita Arena in Newcastle.

Laughs are also on the schedule at Glasgow's OVO Hydro, Aberdeen's P&J Live, the First Direct Arena in Leeds, Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena, Utilita Arena Birmingham, and the Brighton Centre, before rounding up with shows at locales including Bournemouth International Centre, Cardiff's Utilita Arena, Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena, Dublin's 3Arena and Belfast's SSE Arena.

Known for both his Scouse wit and acting chops, having cut his comedy teeth in the early 2000s, Bishop has graced television screens in "Live At The Apollo" and entertained homes with "John Bishop's Britain" and ITVs "The John Bishop Show." He has also graced the screens on comedy panel shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Mock The Week, and made guest appearances in TV series like Skins and Doctor Who.

In the years 2022 and 2023, he took to the stage in the pantomime Mother Goose alongside Sir Ian McKellen, which included a stint in London's West End.
