Bad Education star Layton Williams has shared the exciting news that he'll be joining the West End cast of Titanique, which is set to hit the stage in December.

The Strictly finalist announced that he'll be taking on the role as 'Iceberg' in the Celine Dion jukebox musical. This is the latest career move since his stint as the Emcee in London's West End production of Cabaret.

He penned on Instagram: "I'm the Iceberg, B*tch!!! @titaniquemusical," completed with a ship emoji. Many of his fellow Strictly Come Dancing competitors flocked to the comments section to congratulate him on the news.

Angela Scanlon typed: "YES LAYTON," whilst another follower chimed in: "Ahhhh omg this is literally the best news all month."

A third fan also penned: Huge news!! So proud of you. Ticket booked to come and see you already. Your star is shining so brightly x."

Layton Williams is best known for playing Stephen Carmichael in the BBC series Bad Education, but first shot to stardom when he appeared in the West End theatre production of Billy Elliot.

The 30-year old appeared in the 2023 series of Strictly Come Dancing and booked himself a place in the final alongside pro-partner Nikita Kuzmin. He was defeated by Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach.

Layton also embarked on a tour with Nikita this summer, with the first set of shows taking place in Manchester on June 30. The pair then performed in London at Drury Lane on July 16.

I poured my heart and soul into my Emcee every single time I stepped on that stage. It was so good to be back on the West End where it all began for me.

"Plus making a tiny bit of black boy history. Memories I’ll cherish forever. Biggest love to the gorgeous cast, crew and creatives for a joyous ride. Xx."
