Kerry Katona has revealed she’s “too scared to go out” after a frightening robbery at a luxury Mayfair hotel.

The former Atomic Kitten singer, 44, was left shaken when "thousands" of pounds worth of her designer belongings were stolen during a stay at the high-end hotel last week.

Kerry, who has struggled with security concerns in the past, said that her expensive Gucci luggage and other personal items were taken after she left her bags with the hotel’s concierge.

Detailing the harrowing incident in her New! magazine column, she shared how she and her fiancé, Ryan Mahoney, had gone out for lunch while waiting for their room to be ready, only to return to find their possessions missing.

“We were checking into the hotel, which I won’t name, and since our room wasn’t ready, we left our bags with the concierge and grabbed some lunch,” she wrote.

The ordeal left the star shaken, prompting a wave of emotions. “It was so triggering for me, and I did feel emotional afterwards. It’s just so scary to think you’re not safe,” she continued.

The experience has understandably left Kerry feeling vulnerable, admitting, “When things like this happen it makes me scared to go out as I don’t want to be targeted.”

Among the stolen items were her £1,200 Gucci holdall, her medication for chronic back pain, her phone, and her earphones, leaving Kerry devastated by the loss.

The robbery adds to a whirlwind of public scrutiny for Kerry, who also recently addressed rumours surrounding her behaviour at Hugh Grant’s 64th birthday party.

Attendees at the star-studded event, which featured the likes of Liz Hurley and Dame Joan Collins, raised eyebrows after Kerry shared a video of herself joking around on Instagram.

The post led to some of her followers accusing her of being drunk or on drugs—accusations Kerry swiftly denied.

She wrote in her New! magazine column: “We had a great chinwag, he's so lovely. I went to bed around 10:30, I can never do a late night. Although, I posted a video to my Instagram the next morning where I was cracking jokes and just having a chat, and so many people commented that I was drunk or on drugs!”

Kerry, who has been open about her past struggles with addiction, was frustrated by the comments, explaining, “I couldn’t believe it, I don’t even drink alcohol, and it was the morning— all I had was water! It is a little annoying that I have to keep defending myself.”
