Katie Price, the television personality as infamous for her extensive cosmetic procedures as she is for her rollercoaster personal life and financial woes, has a long history of surgeries. Her transformation includes a nose job, veneers, lip fillers, liposuction, Botox, and notably, her first facelift in 2017.

Yet, it's her multiple breast augmentations that stand out, with a staggering 17 operations to date. Carl Woods, Katie's ex-fiance, has had a front-row seat to her relentless pursuit of aesthetic perfection, sharing insights in an exclusive heart-to-heart with OK! Magazine.

The couple's tumultuous romance lasted three and a half years before they parted ways last November. They initially connected through mutual acquaintances in 2020 and were engaged within 10 months by 2021.

Carl, 35, reflected on his time with the former glamour model, expressing his deepest concern over Katie's unabating "surgery addiction" and the potential deadly consequences it could have.

Following her recent £10,000 facelift in Turkey - her sixth to date - the 46-year-old star quipped about her appearance, saying: "I look plastic because I am plastic. At least I tell you all what I've done."

Carl, an Essex business entrepreneur who rose to fame on Love Island back in 2016, has observed Katie's relentless pursuit of the perfect beauty standard through her numerous cosmetic surgeries with growing concern.

He candidly remarked: "They say in your life you can only have so much anaesthetic before it's a problem. And like everything in her life, Kate likes to push the boundaries. I feel like she'll never be happy."

He didn't sugar-coat his worries, as he added: "Unfortunately, there could be that final time she doesn't wake up. Sadly, I do 100% believe that could happen. But Kate never spoke to me about being scared about it, she'd brush off all that talk."

His own brush with the harsh reality came on a disastrous trip to Turkey, alongside Katie. The pair The original intent was for him to receive full body liposuction while she did likewise.

Confronted with Katies "shocking state" after surgery, Carl had an abrupt change of heart. Revealing his inner conflict, he said, "I got wrapped up in it all for a while because she was constantly on this mission for perfection, so I started criticising myself. But when I saw her after her lipo, I was like, 'Oh, my God. No, no way are they doing that to me.'"

Carl vividly remembers the severity of Katie's condition after the operation. He recounted: "She looked like she'd been hit by a train. I told the doctors to take my cannula out there and then, and said, 'I'm not going through with it.' She looked like an octopus, she had so many drains coming out of her. Her wounds had pus, they were bleeding, and she was crying in agony. I looked at her and I thought, 'Why are you doing this to yourself? ".

Katie's surgical journey was candidly shared on her YouTube channel, where she and Carl documented the unvarnished details of her operation. The video doesn't shy away from the harsh realities, capturing Katie in excruciating pain as medical staff tend to her post-surgery needs.

The former glamour model has a long history with cosmetic procedures, having her first breast enhancement at 20. Despite this, in 2021, Katie claimed she wasn't hooked on surgery - a statement her then-beau Carl contested, saying: "She's totally addicted. In the time I was with her she had three boob jobs."

Carl has spoken out about his efforts to protect Katie from her pursuit of cosmetic surgery, amidst a sea of online criticism accusing him of being the push behind her multiple procedures.

He disclosed his fears and attempts to stop her, saying: "It was very difficult I'd plead with her not to go ahead. I'd say, 'You don't need it. I'm worried this is going to kill you one day.' But it was like talking to a brick wall. She'd brush it off. It's a dangerous game she's playing Russian roulette with her life."

Regarding the dilemma he faced when intervening, Carl revealed the accusation of controlling behaviour that came with his concern, saying: "You persist, and then you're accused of being 'controlling'. She would say, 'You don't want me to do this because you don't want me to be attractive to other men.' You're stuck between a rock and a hard place."

Carl further commented on how Katie uses tattoos to deal with her insecurities, hinting at an addictive pattern. He said: "Kate covers the parts of herself that she feels aren't perfect with tattoos her latest addiction. But elements of your body will age regardless, like your knees."

Carl suggests that it's not about insecurity, but rather a quest to "chase her youth". He remembers times when he'd find Katie at home, looking through old photos of herself from the 90s when she was still known as Jordan, and recalls her often lifting her face with her hands, imitating the effects of a facelift.

Speaking about her choice to have surgery multiple times, Katie once said on ITV's Good Morning Britain: "It's like a car you have an MOT. If you get a scratch or a dent, you fix it, and that's how I feel with my body."

The celebrity mother to Harvey, 22, Junior, 19, Princess, 17, Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10, added: "I'm not trying to look younger and I definitely don't want that alien look when people go over the top and look like freaks. "I'm not addicted, but if people want to say I've got body dysmorphia, just say it. Even my mum says, 'You need to see somebody. You're not normal in the head, are you?'"
