BBC Strictly’s Janette Manrara praises ‘phenomenal’ co-star amid It Takes Two announcement

EXCLUSIVE: Janette Manrara and Fleur East will return to BBC to host Strictly Come Dancing's sister show, It Takes Two.

Janette Manrara talks about daughter Lyra's new interest

Ahead of Strictly Come Dancing’s highly anticipated return tonight, the show confirmed Janette Manrara and Fleur East would return to present It Takes Two.

The pair became a beloved dynamic duo after the singing sensation took over from Rylan Clark last year.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Janette gushed over her “sister from another mister,” and shared her excitement to be reunited with the star.

Speaking on their similarities, the dancer revealed: “We keep making jokes because we are so alike.

“We’re literally almost the same person in so many ways, I wish I could host every single night on It Takes Two with her. We just have the best, best time together.”

Following her celebrity appearance on the dancefloor in 2022, Fleur’s addition to its companion show was welcomed by fans who praised their infectious chemistry.

Dishing on their bond, Janette continued: “We both became mothers to daughters, they’re just a couple of months apart.

“Lyra is a constellation of stars in the sky and she named her daughter Nova, again kind of like stars and constellations related and both of us named our daughters Rose as middle names.”

The presenter continued: “So I have Lyra Rose, she’s got Nova Rose and both of us have done projects with our sisters.”

Janette highlighted: “She’s (Fleur) done her hair products with her sister, I wrote my book with my sister.

“For us to be doing It Takes Two together again, coming back and celebrating all the couples this year I’m just so so happy that she’s my teammate.”

“She’s absolutely phenomenal and what a woman and just so talented. She walked the shoes she went all the way to the final, she got to do the Strictly Live Tour and she’s an incredible presenter on the radio shows and I’m just so glad she’s back.”

The new series also marks a double celebration as it will commemorate Strictly’s 20th anniversary.
