Shirley Ballas showcased her weight loss as she sported a black and white bikini. The Strictly Come Dancing judge, 63, looked incredible in the two-piece as she posed for a photo shared with her 335,000 followers.

The ballroom dancer is currently on a health retreat in Portugal and took to Instagram to issue an update with her fans, detailing the positive impact the trip has been having on her.

Shirley penned: "Starting day six at @juicemasterretreats feeling so much better, cleaner, lighter, head space more clear. This is a must for me yearly to get myself in a good place."

The TV star added: "Just simply the best place ever, thank you Jason for all you do for so many people in Portugal." Earlier this week, Shirley revealed how she takes some time for herself in the summer before Strictly Come Dancing airs.

She said: "Every year kickstarting my whole body, juicing, working out and relaxing with some amazing spa treatments. It's this time of the year I look forward to the most taking care of myself. How to start an amazing week."

It comes after Shirley's co-star and fellow Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood hit out at "demanding celebrities" he's worked with over the years.

The 59-year-old, who is currently choreographing Now That’s What I Call a Musical, told The Sun: "I’ve seen celebs grow demanding when they work in theatre. Certainly in the theatre, and that’s what I can talk about, the celebrities can get on their high horse and become demanding."

He also addressed the controversy surrounding Strictly and the new safety measures in place, emphasising the importance of protecting everyone involved, including those in teaching roles.

"When I’m teaching, for example, with the cast of Now That’s What I Call a Musical, it’s important to enforce a strict approach," he said. Last month, Craig admitted the controversy surrounding Strictly came as a "huge shock" to him.

"For me it's a shock, and news to me, because the judges are never present at any of the teaching, we literally come in on a Saturday and just judge what we see before us," he explained in a conversation with BBC Radio Wales.

The BBC launched an investigation into Giovanni Pernice, after Amanda Abbington claimed he was "abusive" and "cruel" to her during training. Giovanni, 33, has denied the allegations.

Meanwhile Graziano Di Prima was axed from the upcoming series after he admitted to "kicking" Zara McDermott. The Italian dancer, 30, said he "deeply regretted" the events which led to his departure.
