Piers Morgan has waded in on the conversation amid claims about Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers and their behaviour during rehearsals.

Last week, it was announced that Graziano would not be returning to Strictly over his behaviour to celebrity partner, Zara McDermott. The Italian dancer admitted that he "kicked" Zara during training rehearsals last year.

Giovanni Pernice left the dance competition in June amidst allegations allegedly made by Amanda Abbington and two other celebrities. He denies all the allegations of "threatening or abusive behaviour."

Piers has now had his say on the recent claims in his latest column in The Sun. According to Piers, he has labelled Amanda "a nasty troll" and said "I smell b******t."

He penned: "And then there’s Amanda Abbington who has spent the past eight months on a self-pitying publicity tour in which she portrays herself as Lead Victim at the supposedly devil hands of Italian pro dancer Giovanni Pernice.

"Ms Abbington, who from my own personal experience is a nasty little social media troll very happy to dish out man-hating verbal abuse when it suits her, has reinvented herself as a modern-day Joan of Arc, branding Pernice a mean, cruel vicious bully who all but burned her at the sparkly stake."

Piers also said: "She [Amanda] even lobbed in a new hand grenade - that Pernice had humiliated her with bullying ‘of a sexual nature'. Something she reportedly neglected to tell the BBC for its investigation. I smell bullsh*t."

Express Online have contacted Amanda's representative for comment.

In her Channel 4 interview, Amanda couldn't go into detail of her experience with Giovanni due to an ongoing BBC investigation. However, she did talk about the effect it has had on her.

She said: "It was unnecessary and when stuff was getting thrown at me I'd shut down because I've been in abusive situations before in the past so I recognised the red flags, so I'd shut down and wouldn't be able to do it because I felt attacked, not literally attacked."

Strictly Come Dancing bosses have confirmed that the show will continue to run later this year, amid the sacking of Graziano Di Prima and the departure of Giovanni.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Strictly Come Dancing bosses are introducing "duty of care packages" to celebrity partners in the upcoming series.

According to The Sun, safeguards are being introduced for dancers and celebrity contestants on the show, including counsellors and the offer of post-show therapy.
