JJ Chalmers, one of the hosts at the 2024 Olympic Games, once made a comment about intimacy with his long-term wife Kornelia Chitursko, who he married back in 2015.

The presenter has shared that while the pair are busy raising their two young children, their sex life remains vibrant, and he scored his skills highly.

During a Q&A session last year, when asked to rate his performance in the bedroom, he humorously responded: "I think I'm a 10, my wife will probably think I'm a three or something like that."

PRsonal podcast host Charlotte Nichols playfully suggested she would seek his wife's opinion for confirmation on his words, at a later date.

In the same conversation, the ex-marine also discussed his approach to fatherhood with their two kids, to which he said: "I'd like to think I'm a pretty involved father, but my lord, do we all have more and more to learn." Ranking his parenting skills, he went on to give himself a seven out of 10.

While JJ is primarily recognised as a former marine commando, Invictus Games medallist and broadcaster, viewers saw a different side of him in 2020 when he participated in Strictly Come Dancing.

In an earlier interview, the presenter revealed that it was his wife who had motivated him to hit the dance floor and compete, as he praised her for her support, reports the Daily Record.

Speaking to The Mirror in a joint interview with Kornelia, he confessed: "I could not have done it without her, no question.

"She dragged me through it all, the surgeries, the rehabilitation. She was just... there. And I needed her there."

Addressing how she coped with him being on the show, she added: "It was one of the things life throws at you.

"I had no idea how to deal with it, but I just knew I had to."

While he gave everything in the dancing contest under the guidance of pro dancer Amy Dowden, the public didn't rally enough votes to get him into the finals, and he faced elimination just shy of the semi-finals.

JJ returns to TV screens today presenting Olympic Games coverage from Paris alongside Jeanette Kwakye.

Together, the pair will deliver the latest on the women's three-metre synchronised springboard final at the Aquatics Centre.

Silver medallists Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen are aiming to become the first British female divers to finish on an Olympic podium since 1960 - will they succeed?

Meanwhile, the opening swimming heats are held at La Defense Arena, including the women's 100-metre butterfly and 400-metre freestyle, and the men's 100-metre breaststroke and 400-metre freestyle.

Olympics: Paris 2024 continues today at 8am on BBC One.
