Donny Osmond shares heartbreaking struggle as singer cancels show

Donny Osmond took to social media with disappointing news for fans who planned to see the 66-year-old on stage. 

After an impressive Las Vegas residency, the 70s icon is currently on his highly demanded summer tour. 

However, the singer revealed he’s had to “postpone” a show at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. after an unexpected struggle with his vocal cords.

On Saturday, Donny’s management released a statement: “Regretfully tonight's performance has been postponed as Donny has lost his voice. 

“We are diligently working towards rescheduling this show for a later date. Additional details will be shared once available on Donny.com.”

They added: “Donny wants to thank all his fans and Seneca Casino and looks forward to seeing you soon."

The hitmaker later addressed his fans on X to confirm the heartbreaking news. 

He explained: “To my Niagara Falls fans, I am so sorry but I woke up without a voice and I won’t be able to perform tonight. 

“This has only happened a few times in my career and I, unfortunately, have no choice but to postpone tonight.”

Donny continued: “I was excited to perform tonight but please know that team Donny is already working on a plan to reschedule this date. 

“I apologise for the inconvenience. We will be sure to let you know on Donny.com as soon as we have details.”

This comes just weeks after the star admitted the lengthy tour had been “overwhelming” after leaving home for the road at the beginning of June. 

He penned: “We are having the time of our lives out here on my summer tour. The response has been overwhelming!”
