ITV's newsreader Sascha Williams emotionally announced she will be bidding farewell to the network after 21 years.

Taking to social media on Tuesday, the Good Morning Britain Anglia presenter reflected on her journey at ITV, calling it "one heck of a ride". The 44 year old journalist took to X to post a montage of images that captured moments from her career.

Sascha expressed her feelings, stating: "After 21 years (and by the look of it, about as many hairstyles) it's time to bid farewell to ITV. It's been one heck of a ride, working some of the absolute best in the business. Will miss them lots (Though probably not the 4am alarm)."

Her illustrious stint with ITV began at ITV Anglia where she served as a production journalist on ITV News Anglia starting in 2003. Within three years, she climbed the ranks to become an on-screen reporter and presenter.

In 2009, Sascha chose to pursue a freelance career and subsequently became a familiar face on Daybreak, ITV News, ITV News London and Good Morning Britain. She is also recognised for her regular appearances on the ITV News at 5.30pm slot.

She joined the ITV News team as a permanent fixture in 2013.

As news of her exit broke, Sascha's supporters poured in their good wishes. One fan praised her, commenting: "You're brilliant. Good luck and very well done," while another sent encouraging words: "Good luck - wishing you all the best on your next chapter - adventure, wherever and whatever it is, you'll absolutely slay! It Sascha."

Another colleague shared their sentiment, saying: "A real pleasure to have worked with you - good luck with the next adventure x."

Another commented: "Missing you already! Been a pleasure working with you and having you as a friend. It goes without saying you'll smash the next part of the journey too. Lots of love DG."

Another added: "Oh cripes, you'll be missed Sascha! You've become a reliable 'ease you into the day' person for me on the tv but it must be tough working hours! Good luck with whatever you do next! And I remember all those hairstyles and shades!"

She later shared the same message on her Instagram page.
