Adam Peaty's love life from Gordon Ramsay's daughter to Strictly rumours

Olympic champion Adam Peaty has taken home a silver medal in the Men's 100m Breast Stroke at the Paris Olympics, with his girlfriend Holly Ramsay lauding him as 'determined and dedicated'.

The 29 year old swimming sensation, renowned as one of the finest men's breaststroke competitors in history won the semi final on Saturday, but lost out to Italy'sNicolo Martinenghi in the final tonight. However girlfriend Holly was cheering him on every step of the way. She even praised him as the 'best father to George' - his son from a previous relationship with Eirianned Munro.

Adam has been romantically involved with 24 year old Holly - the daughter of fiery TV chef Gordon Ramsay, 57 - since 2023. The pair made their relationship public in June of the previous year, although it was speculated that they had been dating for several weeks prior to their announcement.

The couple have even expressed their affection for each other through tattoos. Adam sports an 'H' tattoo on his neck, while Holly has an 'A' discreetly inked behind one of her ears.

In April, the pair sparked engagement rumours after Holly posted a sweet message on Instagram, reports the Mirror.

Before finding love with Holly, the swimmer was in a committed relationship with Eirianned, with whom he has a son. He recently admitted to enduring 'three years of hell', battling depression and alcoholism, as well as dealing with his split from Eirianned.

However, he later found solace in swimming once again.

"I was within a hair of giving it all up," he confessed, referring to his swimming career. "What was I going back for? Pride? It took a while to find the answer. But I wanted to teach [my son] George and any other children I have in future that you don't give up when things get hard or the world feels like it's against you. ".

Following his split from Eiri, he acknowledged that he had "let her down". Eiri also revealed that Adam's stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 with dance partner Katya Jones - who was previously embroiled in a scandal with Seann Walsh - marked "the beginning of the end" for their relationship.

During his time on the dance show, there was a moment where he appeared to nearly kiss Katya at the end of a passionate dance - a moment Eiri later responded to with a playful video of herself pretending to cry. She captioned the clip: "Watching your boyfriend almost kiss another woman on live TV finding out 10 million people also watched it."

In an interview, Eiri claimed that Adam failed to "reassure" her when speculation began to swirl about a potential romance between him and Katya. Adam quashed the rumours and posted on his social media at the time: "To everyone who wants to see what they want, your comments have real-life consequences. I will not be overcome or lowered by your gossip. Protect your energy."

Speaking to The Sunday Sun, she issued a cautionary message for celebrities eager to join the show: "My advice wouldn't be to the partners of those going on Strictly, but for the celebrities participating; involve your family in the process, it can be a very lonely process for partners. And if you're not strong enough to go through the process if your relationship isn't secure, or you don't know how to handle the intense attention that comes with it don't go on the show."

However, she reflected that even without Strictly, their relationship was doomed to fail. Eiri shared: "Sadly if it wasn't for Strictly it would've been something else. I'm grateful we found out we were not meant for each other sooner rather than later, for the sake of our young son."

Some months following their break-up, Eiri engaged her followers in a social media QandA, revealing the hardships of single motherhood. Responding to a fan who asked about the fear of becoming a single parent, she admitted: "Honestly...it can be so very scary and so very sad."

She immediately reassured him by saying: "But it will give you the strongest most beautiful bond with your child."

She also revealed she decided to move back to Wales to avail of family support.
