Nadia Sawalha will be among 31 women to go topless outside of Parliament in a bid “to be seen” and heard by the new government.

The Loose Women star will strip off to represent the lives of those lost by metastatic breast cancer each day in the UK.

The actress has joined patients, campaigners and charities who have been fighting for months for decision-makers to approve the life-prolonging treatment.

The drug called Enhertu is available in Scotland and 14 other countries, but not currently in England and Wales.

It works for women with a subtype of incurable breast cancer called HER2-LOW but the group have been met by what they call a “deafening silence” in recent weeks.

The women will change their tact and bare their breasts, painted by internationally recognised artist Sophie Tea.

Their chests will be covered with a range of powerful messages including: “We could be your sister”, “Our lives count”, “Help us to live” and “Now do you see us?”

Ahead of their display, Nadia said: “'We are here to be heard. If this is what it takes to turn heads back in our direction and put Enhertu back on the agenda, so be it. We have been ignored for too long.”

Initially reviewed by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) in September 2023, the “no” from the medicines approval organisation sent shockwaves amongst the patient groups, charities and parts of the medical community.

A Breast Cancer Now petition gaining over 250,000 signatures and National press attention forced the deciders to meet with patients in May 2024 to work towards change but nothing but silence ensued.

This isn’t the first time Nadia has stripped off for a good cause as she previously took to Instagram with a series of bikini and underwear posts to empower her followers.

The 58-year-old encouraged her fans to love themselves for themselves and opened up about being self-conscious but she now accepts herself with “cellulite” and all.

She wrote: “'CELL U LITE … so the f**k what!! As Nadia added that it's about “body acceptance” rather than “confidence”.
