In Tom Bower's latest expose The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power, the author unveiled some shocking claims about David and Victoria Beckham’s relationship.

From the reasons behind David's ex-PA Rebecca Loos went public with her affair allegations, to the famed couple allegedly leaking negative stories about each other.

The sensational title also drops bombshells about Posh and Becks' relationship with the Royal family, particularly their strained ties with Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

Some of the biggest shockers from The House of Beckham include the footballer’s highly publicised 2009 scandal. Here are six of the major revelations unveiled in the journalist's recently released book.

Why Rebecca Loos went public.

In their Netflix documentary The Beckhams, they revealed that the 2004 affair allegation rocked their relationship as Victoria described it as the “hardest period” for both of them.

Tom Bower’s book claims Rebecca broke her silence after being appalled by David’s behaviour towards a waitress.

He details: “The turning point for Loos was realising Beckham's double standards. After a meal for SFX employees at Madrid's Hard Rock Cafe, Beckham did not leave a tip.”

The author wrote that the next day, David was shocked by the note and subsequently handed over a substantial sum of euros, as he claims: "Reflecting in February about how Beckham had played her and lied to her, Loos was angry."

After being dismissed by David’s management company SFX, she decided to tell her side of the story to the now-defunct News of the World.

Victoria furiously slapped David

In the wake of Rebecca's bombshell revelations, which grabbed headlines worldwide, the Beckhams put on a united front at the snowy Courchevel ski resort to protect the “Brand Beckham” image.

“In a bravura performance the couple clung to each other with an iron grip on his hand. Then they performed a piggy-back and smiled,” Bower writes in his revealing account.

Behind closed doors, however, the perfect image of David and Victoria was not always so harmonious.

As the book claimed: “Once the show was over they disappeared into their chalet....as everyone drifted off, one journalist looked through the Beckhams' chalet window. Posh was slapping Beckham hard on his face. Beckham, famous for his 'short fuse', did not retaliate.”

Disastrous Vogue photoshoot

14 years later, the couple were faced with fresh salacious press speculation about their marriage and Victoria decided to tackle them head-on with a bold interview and photoshoot for Vogue.

Bower says: “That would be an ideal platform to crush rumours of a split,” adding: “The interview would be accompanied with photographs of the Happy Beckham Family.

“David returned specially to London for the photoshoot....the entire Beckham family was to be photographed sitting as a harmonious group in a wooden rowing boat on a pond, which was to be shot as if it were a lake,” and was said to have irritated the athlete.

Bower quotes David Beckham in his book being annoyed by Victoria using their kids in “endless self-promotion campaigns.”

However, things took a disastrous turn after a spat, when their cocker spaniel “suddenly, Olive jumped into the water,” as a result, “another argument blew up. A sulk descended. Plans for the family photo were ditched.”

Bower subsequently narrated: “Victoria posed only with the children and the spaniel. In the aftermath, Beckham and Victoria posed as a twosome, separate and looking rather severe.”

Victoria’s sour Glastonbury surprise

The couple admitted to being “against each other” in their Netflix documentary when Victoria surprised David at Glastonbury in 2017.

The night before the athlete and his entourage including a “glamorous Australian bikini model” partied until the wee hours of 5 am.

The revelry picked up again at lunch the following day, but was reportedly cut short by a call announcing Victoria's imminent arrival.

Bower penned: “With her entourage, she zoomed off in a golf buggy through the scruffy campers to the VIP zone. She was livid that her husband hadn't responded to her phone calls and had sent out a search party.

“Eventually, David showed up. Within seconds, they were caught up in a heated argument.... 'They looked quite miserable,' observed one onlooker, 'but they managed to pose for the cameras'."

Victoria and Geri with their Spice Girls pals

Brutal swipe at 'desperate' Geri Halliwell.

Victoria reportedly “couldn't stand” her former Spice Girls bandmate, Geri Horner, according to Bower’s new book, The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power.

He quotes her as saying: “‘I can't stand Geri, she is one of the most disloyal people I've ever known’.”

According to Bower, Victoria she scoffed at Geri for dating DJ Chris Evans in 1999 and claimed that singer said: “‘She'll do anything to get publicity.

“‘Geri doesn't care what she does as long as she gets in the paper.’”

David Beckham and Prince Harry

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's snub

The House of Beckham, also scrutinises the couple’s relations with the Royal family, especially their tumultuous rapport with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Both David and Victoria graced Prince William's 2011 wedding to Kate Middleton and Harry's 2018 nuptials with Meghan.

Yet, according to journalist Bower, David's camaraderie with either prince didn't impress Meghan much, as he suggests that the Sussex’s, took umbrage at David's chumminess with William, which had flourished during the 2010 UK World Cup bid.

“Meghan appeared to want to punish the Beckhams,” states Bower, adding: “Television pictures of the couple arriving at St George's Chapel for the wedding showed Victoria stony-faced and David chewing gum.

Meghan had not invited them to the wedding dinner. Her veto was an insult.”
