Katherine Jenkins has been madly in love with her husband Andrew Levitas since they were first set up by a mutual friend in New York during her tour with with Andrea Bocelli. The singer began dating the American artist in October 2013, they got engaged in April 2014 and married five months later at Hampton Court Palace.

10 years on, the couple have welcomed two children: Aaliyah Reign Levitas, eight, and Xander Robert Selwyn Levitas, six.

In a candid admission about their marriage, Katherine, 44, admitted she never imagined that she would fall for a man like Andrew, 46.

She told The Times in 2017: "You can’t imagine who you’re going to fall in love with, and this little girl from Neath, who used to go to church three times a week, never imagined that she would be with an American-Jewish husband...

“I am incredibly in awe of everything he does, so it’s nice to be Mrs Levitas. I’m proud of that.”

Katherine and Andrew looked as loved-up as ever when they attended day one of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships on Monday afternoon.

The duo were also joined in the Royal Box by David Beckham, who famously has a tumultuous history with the Welsh mezzo-soprano.

Back in 2012, Katherine was forced to deny rumours that she had an affair with the former footballer, who has been married to Victoria Beckham since 1999.

Katherine tweeted: "Dear Twitter friends, I've read some horrible rumours on here & want u 2 know I absolutely deny I've had an affair with David Beckham.

"I've only met David twice - once at the Military Awards in 2010 & on a night out in the West End in Feb 2012. We were out in a group of friends & it was just a normal fun evening out. Just so we are clear I have never been on my own with him and never arranged to meet up.

The opera star later shared why she decided to publicly deny the rumours, saying: "I didn't want people to think I would date a married man. I wouldn't want anyone to think I would do that to another woman.

"I wanted to put it right. It couldn't have been more wrong. I couldn't have people thinking such things of me... I was getting death threats before I spoke about it. You wouldn't believe how crazy and out of control it was getting."

Tensions later arose between the pair when Beckham was not given a knighthood in the Queen's New Year's Honours list.

In early 2017, David was caught up in an email hacking scandal when a report emerged claiming he had written a furious message to his PR manager. He allegedly said: “Katherine Jenkins OBE for what? Singing at the rugby and going to see the troops plus taking coke. F***ing joke.”

After the reports came out, Katherine responded that she is "incredibly proud" of her OBE and expressed her gratitude for the people speaking up for her.

She added to The Telegraph at the time: "I don’t want to be involved. This hasn’t knocked me. I wish them [the Beckhams] the best. But I’m getting on with my life, I’m just doing what I do.”

One year later, Katherine claimed she still had not received an apology from David.

She told The Sun in 2018: "It's obviously disappointing. I've never heard anything from them about it.

"You're just minding your own business and you get caught up in this massive storm. You just think, 'Aw, I wasn't doing anything'. To get caught up in that wasn't pleasant. I don't know why, again, that was aimed at me."
