This Morning's Josie Gibson in unexpected career change with 'intense' training

Josie Gibson has revealed she's swapped her career as a presenter for training as an air stewardess for British Airways. The I'm A Celebrity star's fans can rest assure she won't be leaving This Morning, but in fact, carried out the training as part of a VT for the ITV programme.

Ahead of the segment airing on Wednesday's episode, the 39 year old took to Instagram to provide some backstage intel with her 731 thousand followers. Alongside a picture of her wearing an air stewardess uniform and a 'for training use only' head equipment and gloves, she penned: "On @thismorning today trying to earn my wings!!!!!

"Thank you to @british_airways for giving me the chance to have a taster day of training. This is me being trained in fire emergencies. I loved seeing everyone with their uniforms on. You all looked so sophisticated and smart. You were all so warm and welcoming.....and absolutely hilarious.

"I've never laughed so much on a shoot. I think this is the funniest VT I have ever done, and it's all thanks to you my fellow @british_airways cabin crew.

"On a serious note, the training is intense, and safety is paramount, so thank you for showing me all that you have to go through to earn those wings #britishairways," she concluded.

Josie's followers rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts on her career swap as one person said: "Love this! I'm cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and you are not wrong when you say the training is intense!

"I have A-levels and a foundation degree and those 5.5 weeks were the hardest of my life! Hope you had lots of fun."

Josie took the time to respond as she wrote: "It was a real eye opener, well done for getting through it because I only had a taster and I was gob smacked. What an achievement when you finally earn your wings x."

British Airways themselves commented: "You were fantastic, Josie! We had great fun taking you through a taster of our cabin crew training."

Another Instagram user expressed: "Just goes to show others that cabin crew are not there just to serve drinks."

Somebody else penned: "My daughter wants to be cabin crew when she leaves school next year. This will be great for her to watch. Thanks Josie."

Josie usually hosts This Morning as a main presenter with co-host Craig Doyle during the school holidays as well as filling in for Alison Hammond when she's away.

As well as that, the Big Brother winner also goes up and down the country to record special segments and VT's for the show.
